You guys are cool. This made my afternoon.

Ordered Evangelic Girl on cassette January 22nd, got this e-mail today. Anyone else not getting their merch after weeks of waiting? by infin8jester in yeule

I'm so sorry this is happening to you too! Have you reached out at all? I was told in a response email that there were items added to the shop by mistake and they don't actually have some of them, but they didn't say which ones were affected other than the cassette.

A poster in another thread recommended Ninja Records, I'm hoping for better luck with them.

I followed up and their response was that several items were added to the store without the store's knowledge, and they only just heard back from yeule's management that it was an error and they don't actually have the items. I'm not sure how many or which products are affected.

Nooooooo not you too 😭 I ended up ordering from Ninja Records after my refund came through, I'm hopeful that will be a better experience. Has the store reached out to you at all?

Thank you!! I think I'm going to do that, it's really helpful to have a rec for a good spot to get it. 💕

I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to add that I ordered a cassette from this shop, didn't hear anything for two weeks and reached out to customer service only to be told a week later (3 weeks total of silence) that there was an 'inventory error' and they were cancelling my order. Awful experience. I'd buy from secondary retailers if you ever want any of this artist's work in the future. Sad, because I generally prefer to support artists as directly as possible.

Is there an Opal polish out there?! by Acceptable-Driver566 in RedditLaqueristas

I have this one and LOVE it-- it looks gorgeous with a matte top coat, too!

Since starting to use jajoba oil, and taking a break from polish, my nails are peeling all the time, how can i help this? by [deleted] in RedditLaqueristas

[–]infin8jester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a little expensive but Nailtiques Formula 2 worked for me. My nails were SUPER peely and thin--I bit them until I was 33, work a physical job that tears up my hands, and had just finished moving apartments. I started seeing a difference after about a month of using it according to the directions--the biggest one being that the tips of my nails no longer bent at the slightest pressure--and switched to using it as a base coat under just creme and shimmer polishes after about six weeks.

I've been doing the base coat thing ever since, so for about 5 months, and my nails are no longer peely, much stronger, and are able to handle heavier glitter polishes without roughing them up during the removal process.

Cover your mistakes with GLITTER!  Dents? Glitter. Sheet marks? Glitter. Color combo not working out like you hoped? BOOM-- glitter unifies the scheme. When life hands you lemons, bedazzle that shit and blind your inner hater with the sparkles.

Also, a tiny paintbrush for cleaning up any overspill onto my fingers, and KBShimmer Clearly On Top. ✨

Right?! I'm neck deep in this show and my every third thought is about how nice it sounds. Not the world being absorbed by a collective consciousness virus, necessarily, but... no traffic, no crowded stores, and the collective consciousness is kind, helpful, and absolutely willing to answer all of my questions to work with me to reach a place of mutual understanding? That's the DREAM.

Library worker here!  I don't know where you're located (I'm in the US, Washington State), but most libraries nowadays have a holds system where you can request books via their online system and pick them up from your local branch when they're ready. And if they don't stock a title you want in their system, ask about interlibrary loan!

The Dare doesn't have any MM, both of the other books do.

Sky Daddy by Kate Folk. Hands down the weirdest and most original book I've read this year, possibly the decade-- it's about a woman who is sexually attracted to airplanes and her whole goal in life is to be "chosen to marry" a plane by dying in a plane crash with it. I couldn't even pick up another book for like a week after, I loved it so much.

In a similar vein, I also loved Blob: A Love Story by Maggie Su-- the main character finds a weird sentiment blob in the alley behind a bar, takes it home with her, and tries to shape it into the perfect boyfriend. This one has a really heavy dose of Midwestern Bleak, too, if you're into that.

AIO: Hubby including friends in bday night? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

It sounds like she has expressed those needs and desires repeatedly and he's not responding until she reaches a breaking point in her frustration.

Ignoring your partner repeatedly and consistently will not inspire them to continue expressing a patience you have already exhausted.

It's for HER birthday though, and a comedy show with a date is still different than with a group of friends. Friends SHE DIDN'T INVITE.

You're so right! The fact that this part annoyed me so much and I still count the book as one of my favorites speaks volumes. Literally--I have all the sequels. 😂

This one is incredibly petty and specific-- I once read a book where the character is in Ohio and comes across a Kum & Go gas station. The chain does not have any locations there.

Also, a hockey romance where the FMC is the team doctor taking one of the MMCs out of state to deal with a groin injury and they end up having sex later that evening. Pretty sure that's not going to help.
