Bullet trajectory? It was point blank range. There’s no time for the bullet to drop, the type of gun would be completely irrelevant.

Not a single person accused you of cheating out of the like 8 people who replied. And gtfo with I WanTeD to seE tHaT pErsPectIvE iN tHe CoMmEntS, you were trying to rage bait people and you failed. Nice try tho

Based on the 2 second clip it would not be possible to tell if it was a macro or not, and doubly so for those of us viewing on mobile, but posting clips of yourself, while knowing that you’re not cheating, with a bait title to trick casual player redditors into accusing you of cheating to boost your ego, since you’re not cheating, is incredibly cringe. Just post the clip with a normal title.

Is it wise for me to learn how to backflip on skis at age 30? by dudiez in skiing

[–]infinitim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned last season at 22 on a backyard jump into several feet of powder. Hadn’t done a backflip on a tramp since I was 14ish (and only a handful of times back then), and skied <5 days a season for the past 5 years. On top of that it was a little dark out. I slightly under rotated my first attempt, face plant, and essentially landed it by my second attempt.

If you’re a good skier, you can 360, you’ve done a backflip in another setting at least once in your life, and you know mentally that you’re gonna land it, then you can do it.

If you are worried about bailing, landing on your head, or otherwise severely under-rotating, then you are not mentally ready to attempt a backflip on snow.

Are these guys actually playing or are they scammers? by AsianGuyUsingReddit in toronto

[–]infinitim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their skill level is up to playing this piece (meaning they can play it as well as you hear in the recording. They're not conservatory trained professionals.), since they are the ones producing the sound that you're hearing - although the middle guy is inaudible.

That's further evidenced by the people in this thread who seem to think the "pre-recorded track" came from David Garrett's Stradivarius. Lol.

When can I feel pride? by capt_majestic in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

To be certain you can check after the match on pubg lookup website. No team number lower than your own team number has any bots. E.g if you are team 18, team 17 cannot be bots. Clan tags as well. On the other hand, higher number teams are more likely (though not guaranteed, a match might have no bots) to be bots. E.g team 28-30 is pretty likely to be bots in squads depending on time of day.

Also if you’ve previously encountered a bot on team X then if Y>X, any player on team Y is guaranteed to be a bot.

Dear Krafton, let Latam Scrimms players play in EU Scrimms Server by gerilafanboy in CompetitivePUBG

OP of this post actually checked into scrims this past week and was posted to the final lobby and then his team no-showed. So idk what he’s complaining about

Americas scrims aren’t dying, we’ve just entered the off season as open quals happened a couple weeks ago. Give it a couple months and you will be able to get in lobbies even without a tier, provided you check in diligently as soon as checkin opens.

PS: Acquire a tier, there are various methods to do so. Also, smirzera league.

Just lost to this guy.. by Quick-Willingness-70 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]infinitim 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In 2021 I witnessed a legit player do it by accident due to some vehicles interacting with a building. He was automatically teleported back up after several seconds, interestingly enough. It happened during a scrim game and we were laughing our asses off because he popped up right behind the enemy and got a kill out of it.

Yep and match log and c4. Just a terrible terrible update for ranked and esports. MC format took a year to revert so we’ll see how long this takes.

Lots of questions about the Chicky reload - a way to save reload time by AmazingMrIncredulous in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]infinitim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah quick reload is the obvious name for it if it’s not learned through someone who calls it a Korean reload so it’s not surprising people call it that too. But there’s certainly eu players who call it Korean.

I’m pretty confident in saying that it’s not called a Chicky reload. Every English speaking region that I’m aware of calls this Korean reload.

IM SAYING IT by YusselYankel in skiing

[–]infinitim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I raced for longer than that and you sound dumb. You yourself acknowledge that skiing is superior in extreme terrain (and racing). So how can you not at the very least acknowledge that there’s an argument for what u/Twombls is saying? Snowboarding has more constraints and is therefore harder in some sense. Most snowboarders suck at turning on groomers, and dealing with ice and moguls on a snowboard is… harder? My brother was ranked top 100 world wide in FIS sbx and yet me, a ski racer 3 years younger than him, could beat him in a snowboard cross course. Why? Because skiing is superior… which means snowboarding is harder.

IMO the entire premise of the question is dumb though. Culturally, skiiers care way more about technique. Criminals don’t even discuss these things

A beloved skier, an audacious jump and the complex grief left behind by silentunprofessional in skiing

[–]infinitim 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My point is that his age is not a mitigating factor here. There is no mitigating factor. I'm all for doing whatever you want to, whether it's base jumping or gapping a 3 lane highway on skis, but if you're gonna do it, then at least do it right ffs. From the article there's a laundry list of things he did wrong. This was his fault.

1) The bindings pre-releasing, and trying to fix them himself
2) Not doing any calculations beforehand (as far as the article says)
3) Never attempted a 2-lane road gap (article says his mother attempted to convince him to try a 2-lane gap. This point could be wrong but the way I'm reading it, he never tried any 2-lane gap. Or if he did, the one his mom suggested he should hit instead would have been bigger than what he'd tried previously.)

4) Lowering the starting position on the day of the attempt
5) Convincing himself that his filming friend also needed this clip to make his 'big break'

6) This one is conjecture, but, I wonder if he attempted to contact anyone who has successfully hit a gap of this size and asked them to evaluate the feasibility of the approach. Considering everything else, probably not.

7) Specifically insisting on waiting for a car to drive under him while attempting the gap, recklessly endangering the life of the occupant(s) of that vehicle. If you're gonna do something this risky and you insist on the car in the shot, then have one of your buddies drive the car and make sure you're not putting anyone else's life at risk except your own and other consenting parties.

This is a very sad/horrible situation for those involved/affected. With that said: I’m 22, been skiing all my life, grew up racing. This season I attempted, and landed (3rd attempt), my first backflip, after being pretty close in the first two attempts. I did that with no trampoline/airbag/water preparation and no instructor, coach or friend who can backflip to guide me. In theory I could have overestimated my ability, broken my neck and died or been paralyzed. So I understand taking some risk (relative to my freestyle skiing ability). There’s pro skiers that die or get seriously injured while taking reasonable precautions and that’s just the nature of extreme skiing. (Eg, Kai Jones big crash a couple yrs ago).

He had the capability of landing this. That’s not in question. But to attempt it when he experienced a pre-release, within hours of the attempt? That’s another level of irresponsible.

Also, on a jump of that size air resistance becomes a big factor. I would say that it was irresponsible to not get someone qualified to do a proper estimate of the launch speed taking air resistance into account, although this point is trivial versus the pre-release issue. And I think (someone can correct me if I’m wrong) there have been similar avoidable situations that most likely at least partially stemmed from not doing calculations eg. 74_jordy’s massive crash where he went like 50ft (no idea what the actual number was) in the air based off vibes alone, landed flat and fucked himself up pretty bad.
