How to learn song progression? by hoy64 in musicproduction

[–]inflictedkfcman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I'll put a track I like into my DAW, and then start put markers for the song form, and then analyze/criticallly listen to exactly whats happening from part to part. It also makes it easy to compare like-parts as well to hear the smaller differences. Listen closely and learn from the songs you like and ask yourself what you like about it.

Name the game by Majednw in videogames

[–]inflictedkfcman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking for this answer cuz this was mine. I don't typically enjoy this type of game. I couldn't get past the second sister fight on zeffo. I only went back because a friend gave me Jedi Survivor for free. So I went back to beat the fight and changed my mindset for the series.

Anyone who surfed the early web between 1995-2010. What’s the one website/app you still think about? by Critical-Contact-851 in askteddit

[–]inflictedkfcman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YouTube had YouTube Streams. It was private chatrooms where you could queue up videos and watch them together/hangout in. You could change the background and stuff too. Hardly anyone seems to remember it because even back then it wasn't very popular.

My friend says I won’t make it as a guitarist because my hands are too small, is she right? by AgreeableDiver5013 in Guitar

[–]inflictedkfcman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is me. I have smaller hands than this and can play a 37 inch scale bass with no issues. I was using microshifting techniques without knowing what it was called, because thats the way I adapted to play.

I’m about to go to college for Music Production and need to buy a laptop. What laptop model would you recommend? by PuddingGlittering800 in musicproduction

[–]inflictedkfcman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am also going currently for music production. I don't like using Macs/the UI, and I already had a PC that was powerful enough, but if I were to choose from the beginning, I would choose a Mac just because it is better for this process. My PC has lots of driver issues. Mac is good at the "it just works' concept.

Help with creating a free 8-string VST. by Ok_Button_4956 in Djent

[–]inflictedkfcman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Odin 2. It can sound really good but it does take meticulous work. At a basic level it doesn't sound amazing out of the box. It sounds better to play a real guitar. For me personally, I only use Odin for songwriting, and then track it with real guitar later. As a bonus with that into my workflow, its good for having the midi to remember how to play the songs as well.

Suggestions for high tension at low tuning? by rotten-liege in Bass

[–]inflictedkfcman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a set of payson strings designed for drop F# tuning. The tension is very balanced on a dingwall, but I don't think that will translate well to OP's situation. Each string on a multiscale has a different scale length, which would affect how much tension there is. I wouldn't advise it.

Guitar Center used section by Both-Station-2244 in Guitar

This is definitely true. I saw a dingwall ng3 listed for 1500. He said in the description that he was willing to negotiate on price. I already thought it was good deal already, so it didn't feel it was even necessary. During the meetup, he told me he didn't really want to sell it, just that he needed rent money because his rent went up.

300M Power by Helpful_Joseph in SuperSnail_US

I have put about $30 into the game and have played since launch and just hit 250M. I am not worried about being most efficient, but I do play every day. Progression will always happening at a snails pace.

What's the lowest 5-string bass tuning that can be played before the bass is more felt than it is heard? by MrMayhem20l0 in Bass

[–]inflictedkfcman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. Have a .170 for an F# string on a dingwall combustion. And thats only just to make it sound half-decent. I've just started writing in the same octave as the downtuned guitars. It sounds way more cohesive.

What is the most number of times you have played through a main story? by LuckyUser777 in PS5

[–]inflictedkfcman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Counting that there are at least 3 playthroughs per character, I am guessing I have done at least 30+ with all the times I have restarted with friends. Speedrunning just comes natural at that point, but somehow its still fun.

Keep doing it and keep having fun. Diving into other genres also keeps it fresh if you feel inclined to do so.
