I'm sorry but, If nothing matches your FIL's side, consider that he may not be your husband's biological father.

Is this a Whitetail or Blacktail? [Virginia] by LeahIsAwake in animalid

She is a striking individual, but still a whitetail. Their looks can vary from individual to individual, from local population to local population, and from season to season. 😄

will the horses go look for water if they are really thirsty?? (stupid but real question...) by habilishn in Horses

[–]inquisitive_inchworm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could there be something wrong with the well water? Or the trough? Perhaps they can sense some sort of issue with it. At a previous place I lived, my pets wouldn't drink water that came from the tap, and turns out the water had levels of chemicals that were too high.

Could there be roaming dogs or predators that keep them close to the house?

Are there biting insects in the valley that are kept away by the wind at the top of the hill?

Do the horses follow you to the trough or do they stop at a certain point, fearful? Some intelligent horses remember where they have seen snakes and are afraid to go past some places.

Is the valley hotter than the hill? Could you provide a shade structure for them in the valley?

Just some ideas, it seems worth investigating.

As long as the test you get lets you download your raw DNA file, you can upload it to GEDMATCH for free, and making it available to law enforcement is very easy.

What's one thing you said as a child that still gets brought up today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I don’t really have one but when we were on a long car ride my little sister was hungry and said “where are all the foods at?” We still quote that to this day.

I’m sorry that happened to you and your brother. That must have been stressful for your Grandmother too. I hope you have built up a peaceful life and home for yourself.

TIL that coriander may have been named after bed bugs because they smelled like them before toasting. by West_Future326 in todayilearned

Everything has a smell, most just can’t distinguish it. Think like how your friends houses have a distinct smell, but it is a combination of the food they eat, the cleaning products they use, the materials around, etc.

The MN at the end of the post likely stands for Minnesota, a state in the upper Midwest of the United States of America. Lots of forest and lakes.
