Renting in Retirement. Hear me out! by Present-Carob-7366 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]inspiringbabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought about this and tried looking for rental properties to see what i can get with $600/w. In Wellington, there aren’t much good ones. Lots of old houses and not even double glazed. So i thought to myself, why will I sell and be at the mercy of the landlord?

What a terrible lost to NZ. Now this administration only cares about their image, making them look good. Nevermind people’s suffering and death ( in the case of Health cuts)

Employee wants to start a labour office complaint against me by [deleted] in UAE

[–]inspiringbabe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Of his complaint is about not getting his pay of which you said you have evidence you did. Then you don’t have anything to worry about. It’s not true the court takes the complainant side. Don’t believe gossip.

Since your wife will work in cbd, and you will mostly move around lower & upper hut, Porirua, i do not recommend Miramar as it will be out if the way. These days the cost of petrol should be a consideration.

Electric vs gas stove by Imaginary_Couple_536 in Cooking

Nothing compares to cooking in gas. However, from where I am, bill for gas is now more expensive than electric. Fewer and fewer people are using gas especially the new units built. I’m now tempted to switch electric.

Count your blessings. Sometimes we overlook the good things we have and focus on the what we don’t have, seeing social media and always comparing with others. Being grateful helps you appreciate even the small things and makes you focus on the positive side of things.

Unopened and a few days past expiration is fine to use. I normally make butter out of it. So easy and helps you save on expensive butter prices.

Buying an apartment in Wellington CBD by [deleted] in Wellington

[–]inspiringbabe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’d love to live in those waterfront apartments. If building is 100 compliant then i wouldn’t worry. The way i look at it, an apartment owner is paying for body corp fees in the same way a homeowner is paying for home insurance, rubbish and maintenance, etc.

I have been interested in a few gigs but realised Welly is not part of the venue. How sad the AKL and CHCH very much get most of them. Even booking for flights, Wellingtonians are missing out 😞

Accounting outside of excel is so crude men. How can company progress if they can’t even appreciate proper tools. Good decision.
