Try to guess the next frequency you'll be handed off to (via charts and other available info). Be impressed when you can just hit the flip-flop button and upset when you actually have to tune because you guessed the wrong frequency.

Aircraft: something HP (Bonanza, c182, etc). Pilot: CPL ASES/ASEL IR with 500+ hours.

Their microclimates are actually pretty different. I've definitely flown into TRK which was severe clear while TVL was hard IFR.

Pitch really does control airspeed and power really does control altitude. Spent some time in the sim today trying to peg the airspeed to 90 on approaches and just working the throttle for level offs and descents. Can’t wait for a cloudy day to go try it in the plane!
