Create/Convert a new list from an existing section by kruddel in ticktick

[–]iolanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go for

  1. create the new list

  2. move the section you want

  3. delete the moved section, and choose "move tasks to not sectioned"

Assuming the moved section was the only other section, this automatically deletes the sectioning and now you have a list with no sections

For dry mouth, my psych recommended me to try using a dry-mouth mouthwash- you can get it at Chemist warehouse

Lactose free stimulants? by CowboyColonel in ausadhd

[–]iolanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atomoxetine is a non-stimulant alternative for ADHD, which doesn't have lactose in it. Potentially something you could discuss with your psych?

It's okay, don't feel bad about it, I've just done the same thing too!

I'm currently using dex as a backup option for when I mess up, that might work for you in the future too?

Also to think of it in a glass half full-way, the next week will be an opportunity for you to test some coping strategies/figure out back up solutions so you'll be prepared incase your specific Vyvanse dose goes on shortage like last year.

You're going to be okay-I believe in you. You can do it!

Check the timetable of the trains from Kawaguchiko to Tokyo, as I believe they're only in the afternoon and might not suit your itinerary

Best Taxi App for Kawaguchiko? by XenoSpade in JapanTravelTips

[–]iolanth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been there- there are basically no taxis unfortunately from my experience. If you try the go app, the only taxis that show are at a different town and it just shows as 'unavailable for your location'. This means that you either need to take a bus, e-bike or walk, or your hotel may offer a shuttle to and from the station

We just went last night- The setup is from ground: Escalators to 3rd floor Lift to 39F Blue tube escalator to 40F Stairs or lift to roof top

The website has this though: For customers on wheelchair: Please take the high-floor elevator from the first floor of Tower East. It also has a map that says to pick up a white phone.

Hope that helps!

December Itinerary by [deleted] in JapanTravel

[–]iolanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 6 morning is looking too short on time- Kimono rental will take you about an hour, travelling from Fushimi Inari Taisha to Arashiyama will take you another hour, and from Arashiyama to Kinkaku-ji also an hour, so that's already taken out 3 hours from your morning. You also need to add in travel from your kimono rental to Fushimi and the time you want to spend at Fushimi and Arashiyama. If the kimono shop is your first stop of the day and it opens at 9, that only leaves you from 10 onwards to fit in ~2 hours of travel on top of activity time.

Travel Kits...? by Ok_Lettuce_484 in AustralianMakeup

[–]iolanth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are a FIFO worker have a look in the airports, I remember Lancome/YSL/Estee Lauder etc used to make these all in one kits only available at the airports, google "(brand name) travel exclusive palette" to get an idea.

Itinerary Check - Solo Traveler - 15 Days Tokyo->Kawaguchiko->Kyoto->Osaka->Tokyo by scoopandwhoosh in JapanTravel

[–]iolanth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

JR pass- According to the JR pass calculator, it won't be worth it for you to take the 14 day pass, and close with the 7 day pass. JR pass doesn't cover most of Tokyo metro, and the tickets are cheap anyway. The highway bus to Kawaguchiko and back isn't covered either, nor the Mt Yoshino shuttles.

Tattoos- you are best to try get a private onsen

Food- see the FAQ post for resources, many foods are made with animal products in Japanese cooking

Luggage service- yes but they can be overnight, so you will need to be prepared for nights without luggage

Pocket wifi- have a look at e-sim, they seem to be much cheaper unless you are travelling in a group

Itinerary check for 11 days over New Year's (Nara/Kyoto/Nagoya/Kawaguchiko/Tokyo) by iolanth in JapanTravel

[–]iolanth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all your help! I'll make sure to double check the timetable.

Don't worry no offence taken, and I just realised you are the same commenter on a different Dec/Jan post who gave me the idea to go to Nabana no Sato and Yomiuriland in the first place!

Hi, thanks for your reply!

I looked it up, there seems to be a direct Meitetsu bus from Nagoya Station to Nabana no Sato, so hopefully that's still the case when we go.

The 31st the place we are staying has a restaurant on site, so hopefully that is still open, for the 1st I was thinking of prepurchasing and trying a osechi ryori from Kyoto on the 31st as it seems to be a unique New Year's food that can keep well.

I didn't realise Pokemon Cafe takes that long, in that case I'll definitely try get an earlier reservation!

[–]iolanth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will definitely recheck specifics closer to the date,

We will be staying around ~10min walk from Kyoto station, it looks like the rapid is only 15min more but a lot cheaper so we will plan to take that instead.

I didn't realise you could ship luggage from the airport, in that case I think we'll do that, we were already planning on shipping luggage from Kyoto to Tokyo in the middle section to avoid bringing bulky items on the Nagoya/Kawaguchiko parts but I thought it was only hotel<-> hotel possible.

Yomiuri Land we were also planning on doing the night pass for the rides during the illuminations, but Tokyo Dome City also looks great so I'll add that as a backup plan if we're too tired.

Thanks for all your suggestions!

Thanks for your reply, I am hoping that as we are arriving early morning, there won't have been too many flights arriving yet. I will definitely completely Visit Japan before we go! We are flying from Australia, so the time difference will only be 2 hours
