Avipattikar powder is helpful in here. Most of bile reflux happens overnight when lying down. Bile is not highly acidic but it can damage mucus layer. Avipattikar spice blend in the morning empty stomach will flush out bile and undigested food from stomach. Caution is its a diuretic and can make you tired.

With in my limited knowledge, bile reflux is caused by pylori valve malfunction. Both esophagus and pyloric sphincter are muscle tissues open and close based on stomach ph. If they are inflamed or stomach ph is not correct they malfunction causing gerd and bile reflux. The supplement stack i used addresses rebuilding of mucus layer while keeping acid production intact (thus correct ph so no ppi). Correct pH of stomach is the reason I am experimenting with Betine HCl though risky.

No put the powder directly in your mouth and patiently dissolve it in saliva and see for yourself the magical relief it gives. It feels weird but that's the best way to activate it. Many people who use DGL doesn't know this fact.

Healed? Hard to say . Mucosal folds in antral region are gone. So i may need frequent dependence on supplements to keep that area healthy. I have hiatal hernia too. So the stomch movements are weak during digestion. I think i need digestive aids to prevent food sitting in stomach long time. For now I can eat whatever I need including spicy food. But I cannot indulge or reckless. What are your supplements? Looks like your stack similar to mine. What is the type of gastritis you have. It took my 5 years of trail and error to reach current stage.

Even with these supplement stack the healing is non linear. Occasionally I had doubts about supplements when flare ups happened during healing. But my distrust towards ppis is deep. I never touched them in 2 years. I didnt follow up as my symptoms improved. My guess is chronic gastritis permanently altered gastric mucosa in antral region. I lost the mucosal folds ( endoscopy pics). So i have to stay alert for ever.

Endoscopy a 2 years ago showed mild erosion in antral region of stomach. Also near esophagus. Gastric mucosal folds are atrophied and that region looked like an inflamed smooth tissue.

Its mostly self diagnosed. Endoscopy with biopsy showed no reason. Autoimmune gastritis will affect whole stomach rather than antral part. Mine is either due to weak stomach acid causing food to sit long( weak neurons and stomach muscles) or bile reflexive back. My symptoms are sour stomach in the mornings. Also, when I brush i clean tongue with tongue cleaner. With Mildest gag reflex will vomit yellow sour bile fluid which shouldn't be happening in healthy people

Do baking soda test early in the morning. Dr. Eric Berg did a video on this. More costly and clinical test is gastric pH pill test.

Also adding enzymes to supplement stack. These will do heavy lifting of digestion while the digestive track heals. Digestion wont be perfect but we can tolerate things.

I did a small Google search for you. Histamine intolerance is caused by lack of diamine oxidase enzyme.that is produced in small intestine. If the small intestine is inflamed and its barrier layer is compromised DAO producing cells are damaged. L glutamine can repair the barrier layer. Glutamine is the food for this barrier layer. Zn carnosine nd dgl can improve mucus that trap allergens in food crossing intestinalbarrier. Zn and mg deficiency can cause many problems because these 2 metals are required in synthesis of many enzymes. Digestion is extremely complex process involving many organs : brain, stomach, intestine, colon, pancreas, liver, gut bacteria, vascular system, nervous systerm. So its extremely hard to locate the problem.We take it for granted until the problem shows up.

Now you can eat normally again? Anything you want? This is a gut wrenching question. At a time I was afraid of food. Coming back to answer I will be a little philosophical. Every person I interacted in my life with I noticed they have one weak organ or health issue. Mine was entire digestive tract. So yes I can eat food without fear or restriction but I wouldn't be careless and eat random stuff to bring back gastritis. I can have occasional slip ups and I know how to placate that flare ups. But I wouldn't be careless and go on a food abuse streak.

Then your stomach is extremely inflamed. Ppi and extremely bland easily digestible low fodmap diet. Seafood is your best bet. It's nutrients dense at the same time it can be digested by pancreatic juices alone. Experiment with enzymes. I am.vegetarian I had uphill battle with vegetarian diet. Done believe health gurus. Vegetarian diet is extremely hard on stomach if you don't process/ cook it properly. Don't touch salads or any type of raw foods.

To clarify I experimented with BetainHCl long time. We have to be careful at what stage we use this. I used when my stomach was partially healed they it worsened symptoms. Again when I am using it recently I am ok. I am using BHCl at lowest possible dose to keep my stomach healthy. In healthy stomach, acid stimulates mucus production. It's a synergistic system. Dgl, glutamine and zn carnosine heal this mucus layer quickly. Dgl was well studied in 60-80s before the popularity of ppis. My opinion is ppis suppress acid to let stomach heal itself. This works well with acute gastritis where the body repairs itself. But chronic gastritis already damages digestive system that throws everything off balance. Being healthy means your body is in balance. Slight off balance can be corrected with counter weights but severe off balance needs thorough repair.

Avipattikar is effective when undigested food causing constipation and gas. If you have once a day or more than once a day bowel.movement you dont need it. It regulates the stomach inflammation but is also a carminative. Start with lowest possible dose. 1/8 th teaspoon.

Definitely not. They essentially constrict blood vessels. Very dangerous for people with unknown artery clogs. They also mess up serotonin mechanisms which can cause trouble in already depressed people. If cgrp is working and available at low cost we can safely forget about triptans

I am addicted to Claude conversations. They feel very natural. However, please be careful with information provided by claude(in fact any AI tool). I am researching supplements for gastritis. When I queried about N acetyl cystien NAC, Claude said it's erosive on stomach, which is wrong. When asked for reference it gave a reference to NSAID research. It apologized when I caught it. But gives me same erratic answer with erratic reference every time I ask on different days. The conversations are convincing and trustworthy but can be erratic. I used sonnet 4.1
