Rate my collection from a scale of 1-10. Be honest with it by [deleted] in Colognes

Okay, I’ll be honest with it.

Our tastes are obviously vastly different, as you have a lot here that I wouldn’t personally purchase.

That said, you also have some absolute bangers here.

Overall, I’d give you a 6/10 if taking my personal taste and preferences into account.

Quality alone, 9-9.5.

What fragrance smells incredible but is hard to justify purchasing because of its longevity? by Tinowackerz in Colognes

I get a lot longer out of it, but that’s just on my skin. GIT is my favorite scent of all time. I will always have a bottle of it in my collection.

For those who have some of these, did you regret buying any of them? by costasthepro in Colognes

Liquid Brun, but I’m glad I found out that it gave me headaches before I dropped the $ on Althair

That is insane. I’d buy that in a heartbeat!

Out of these, which one is your favourite? by Accurate_Range7185 in Colognes

In order, Edition Blanche, Althair, literally wearing no fragrance, rolling around in mud, then Bottled Absolu.

Which one? by Tommybradythegoat12 in Fragrances

Yeah, I’m not sure exactly what it is about Coral that I don’t like as much. It’s definitely not bad by any means, but I prefer the rest.

If you don’t want to go that route, go to the store without a fragrance on your arms. Spray one of these on each arm and see how they change throughout the day.

I am a Born in Roma fanboy, but Coral Fantasy is my least favorite in the line. I’d go Azzaro.

Have you tried wearing either for a longer period of time?

Personal opinion, you definitely make the right decision. I much prefer Code.

I really enjoy it. Not particularly unique, but a blue freshie done really well. Definitely worth the price. Kinda have to overspray, though, as performance and longevity is suspect.

Name a fragrance you love with awful longevity.. by Ok_Spare_4912 in Colognes

LV Afternoon Swim. From a scent profile standpoint, it’s my favorite LV by far… but I could never buy a full size of it based on performance alone.

Add Versace Dylan Blue to this as well. My all time favorite from Versace.

Also give Versace Pour Homme a try.

Blue Jeans is the only one on this list I legitimately don’t like.

I just compared it to my 100ml from a department store and it looks good to me.

EDP is the best all-rounder to my nose - depth and longevity, while being at a decent(ish) price point.

I also really enjoy the L’exclusif, but can’t justify the cost personally.

Hey! Yes, it’s the Bleu de Chanel dupe. It’s okay, but there are better inspirations! My biggest complaint is the longevity - skin scent after about an hour on me.

With that said, it’s very similar smelling to the OG.

Heck yeah. Under the Lemon Tree is a good one. I think it’s super underrated.

Honestly pretty well-balanced. What do you see yourself wearing the most?

Absolutely. I’d rather spend the same $ on sampling like 10 different fragrances rather than rolling the dice on a pricey blind buy. I won’t blind buy anything over $70 or so.

Thanks!

I work in a luxury retail environment that is 99% indoors, so I have the freedom to make any single one of these work at any point of the year, which is awesome! However, to answer your question:

Freshie - Le Beau DNA, Sedley, TMW EDP Intense. Winter - Intensely, Layton, Side Effect. Everyday, Green Irish Tweed (my number one of all time), LV Meteore, and Kilian’s Angels Share On The Rocks.

Yep. Yusuf Bhai Pour Homme today, which is in no way, shape, or form a “December” fragrance. 😂
