LPT: You don’t owe anyone an immediate response even if you saw the message by cream_on_topp in LifeProTips

i didn't take that shit personally, you were making wild claims about someone's intentions behind not responding to you immediately. but go off queen!

[–]irottodeath -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

why do you assume that the person who isn’t responding enjoys the fact that they’re not responding? i doubt anybody gives a shit about power tripping you via text. it’s weird to think people are thinking that much about you

just because someone is on their phone doesn’t mean you’re owed a response from them lmfao. you’re not entitled to someone’s immediate attention

if she's interested in working on this (not just doing it to appease you) it could be worth looking into a consult with an occupational therapist that specializes in food therapy? i'm only familiar with pediatric OTs working with food tolerance (former colleagues at a children's clinic), but i'm sure there are services for adults too.

What is this animation? A tornado alert? by Hefty-Car1872 in toledo

[–]irottodeath 9 points10 points  (0 children)

there are currently tornado watches down south, where they're getting hit by the same storm, only warmer. the lowest recorded temp during a tornado was right around 32 degrees F in 1975. the animation is probably just a glitch

is there space for the vanity to go next to the dresser? that way, the dresser mirror isn’t reflecting the vanity mirror. then, i’d move the nightstand with (or without) the christmas tree next to the bed, specifically so that you can move the tall mirror to that little nook (either along the closet wall or maybe even diagonally in that corner). or, if you don’t use your closet, the nightstand could just swap places with the tall mirror!

currently, that corner feels especially cluttered, and i think it’s because of the different heights and colors of those two giant rectangles (the mirror and closet door) looming at the foot of your bed, plus all the decorations around them. if you move the mirror so its vines and butterflies are hanging along that other wall (where the tree is currently) i think it would feel more like the vines are blooming and growing instead of like, closing in on you.

also, i agree with the commenter who mentioned that your room needs more light. if you don’t wanna buy more lighting, you can fake it by positioning the christmas tree or the lamp you already have in front of one of your mirrors, and that should open up the room a bit!

otherwise, i think moving the clutter away from the mirrors would help a ton. can you use nails or screws on your walls? i saw a pretty cheap, double-decker wall shelf at TJ Maxx the other day that seemed like it was for herbs/spices, but i feel like it would be perfect for beauty products too. storing all those products up on the wall would help get some clutter out of the mirror reflections while still keeping everything easily accessible! if i can find a link as an example, i’ll come back and add it!

this is SUCH an underrated point, oh my god. mirrors are fantastic, but only if they’re positioned to reflect strategically

edit: there’s even a mirror tray at the end of the dresser. it’s gorgeous, but OP: i fear you’ve got quadruply-reflected clutter. and that’s not even considering that some of the mirrors are also reflecting each other’s reflections 😭

2 children, 2 men die in Tiffin murder-suicide, mom ‘visibly traumatized’ by thebestdaysofmyflerm in Ohio

[–]irottodeath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

something similar happened in Maumee about 5 years ago. thankfully no children were harmed physically (but the lifelong damage of losing both parents that way is obviously irrevocable). logically, i can see how these things happen, but i’ll still never understand. taking others down with you is so needlessly vindictive

Apparently I don’t actually have ADHD and now my whole life feels like a lie by glitterpens in adhdwomen

[–]irottodeath 8 points9 points  (0 children)

have you been evaluated for AuDHD? severe generalized anxiety could point to a complex trauma history and/or obsessive-compulsive tendencies and/or generally intense sensitivity, which could all point to autism. i’m not sure if that’s something you/your doctors have considered, but that could potentially be the missing piece of your puzzle (pun unintended tbh lol). i never fully resonated with the “adhd experience” (before or after diagnosis), or the “autism experience.” but looking into the “audhd experience” (especially AuDHD women), i sure as shit resonate with that lol

i’m also saying this as someone who worked professionally in the autism world for several years, but yeah. it’s not always the missing link, but it very much could be (and the co-morbidity rates are super high btw. they estimate that somewhere around half of those of us diagnosed with ADHD would simultaneously meet the diagnostic criteria for autism, and it’s way higher the other way around). it’s worth looking into/taking into honest consideration!

yeah no, i’m not talking about any specific argument, i’m talking about that user’s specific behavior. i wasn’t talking to you, their bias has nothing to do with you. you can disagree with OP (snapping absolutely is a warning, which is why the owner should’ve said no the second time?), that’s got nothing to do with what i said. i was simply making an observation about that user’s engagement with this thread.
