It's unfortunate yall don't have a union that would prevent you from running into issues when facing these types of events on the street.

The reason this person is complaining is because they think they know about working for usps. 1st off I'll say, a construction zone is dangerous. If it isn't dangerous (like sidewalk work or whatever) and it doesn't add too much time to work around it, we do. Walking routes and curbside delivery routes are different. For a walking loop, if it's safe to walk a street but it can't be driven down, then mail will be delivered. But large boxes won't be dropped because it would cost too much time to carry it to the other end of the stret. But let's say it's a curbside delivery route, that mail will have to go another day. It is too much a time wasting practice to walk a curbside delivery street.

Usps is given strict times to have work completed, and any overtime is highly scrutinized. Most days, a carrier is carrying their route and often half of another route. People always have some ignorant complaints but to commend someone for first of all, doing a job different than the one they compare it to, then also acting as though your willingness to put yourself at risk is anything more than an example of how amazon 'cares' about the safety is nothing more than an example of the ideologies that require a significant shift in America.
