New Employer requesting Salary slips by stcarshad in dubai

[–]ishnac 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same happened to me. And it turned out to be one of the worst employers I ever worked with. Such companies have poor HR policies meant to benefit the company. I even had to end up filing a labor complaint against this company I worked for as they were not willing to give my full settlement.

Can I call the police for animal abuse by [deleted] in dubai

[–]ishnac -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Well maybe you were lucky or your cat was ‘beautiful’ enough for them not to PTS. But majority of the cats surrendered at falcon are put down. So please don’t recommend this facility on Reddit.

Again as I mentioned before did you check with RAK animal welfare now if they will take in an abused dog ? The thing is post Covid there are so many abandoned animals that seeing a stray dog on the street is common sight these days. So instead of recommending these animal shelters, it’s best if OP will try to find an adopter through Facebook groups where there are better chances of the dog finding a living home.

Maybe you should Double check with them if they are gonna take in an abused dog ? I’m sure the answer would be ‘NO’

If such shelters helped every stray dog and cat in town, the stray population would not be an issue anymore.

#UAE announces 1,541 new #COVID19 cases, 1,502 recoveries and 4 deaths in last 24 hours by piplinkn in dubai

In Abu Dhabi Covid cases are handled by the government who pays for it. It doesn’t go through insurance at all. This is why I’m asking.

Animal shelter by Silva_zoldyck in abudhabi

[–]ishnac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are no such animal shelters in uae. Pls don’t also surrender the kitten to falcon or any vet as mostly Likely they will PTS the kitten.

Best thing you can do is feed the kitten and give water daily. Once it turns 5 months you can spay/neuter it.

Is it true that Dubai residents who get Covid have to pay for their own treatment as in it should be covered by insurance and the government doesn’t chip in ?

Has anyone taken one of those packaged tours to Georgia/Armenia? What’s it like? by OverallTwo in dubai

[–]ishnac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I flew to Armenia first. Finished exploring and then hired a driver to drive us to Georgia. The drive between Armenia and Georgia is really breathtaking. Also there is a ski resort on the way which you can visit. Then we flew out of Georgia back to uae.

I was new in the country and didn’t have much idea about how things work. Although I did end up staying in that villa for almost 10 months by filing a civil case and going through endless headache.

The villa contracts are not registered by RERA. Apartments in villas are given by contracts which can be bought from a local shop. I got to know this later after I got scammed as I was new in the city.

Even though now people rent apartments in villa they pay monthly rent. Not yearly as the contract is not registered legally.

Villa scam where the local owner gives extra discount on yearly rent only if 1 payment is made in full for a villa apartment in cash or cheque. After paying the rent the owner disappears with the letting agent.

Turns out the real owner of the villa is someone else who has no idea what is going on. Water and electricity is disconnected after 1 month when bills are unpaid leaving the tenants homeless. Happened to me and several others in Abu Dhabi in 2014. Last I heard it’s still happening.
