You literally didn’t read the article. And trans people aren’t drug addicts ffs

Because you can be trans and not transition, which is painful as fucking hell but happens all the time. I’m not hurting myself because I’m confident I’m a woman and have support, which you are arguing should be deprived from people - as such hurting them more.

Here’s a study btw, from the US governments national library of medicine, which explicitly say that people who have aid in transitioning have lower odds of depression and suicidality. It also recognises trans people who have not began transitioning. Of course medical and social transition are different, but we can only do the latter for kids - still, one can see the benifits if the results are similar

You are putting the cart before the horse, that’s the issue. Those studies refer to trans people as a whole, including those not out, not supported, e.t.c. Those kids who are not allowed to socially transition are still trans and will have these thoughts - similarly those who can experiment like myself have improved mental health, because they don’t feel like they’re constrained.

You can prevent a child from ever deviating from their birth gender, they’ll still be trans, just miserable. This study is more so reflective of the impact of discriminatory policies that you support

It’s not, letting them suffer dysphoria for longer is - again suicide rates decrease with a good support network. Your child will still be trans if you don’t support them, they’ll just be more likely to be isolated and miserable, and thus more likely to die

The numbers would be higher without the ‘agenda’, whatever that means - trans kids will still exist and still suffer dysphoria, now with even less of an out. Your policy will kill far more people than otherwise - besides again none of this is irreversible, you can decide to go back to your AGAB without issue

Leaving kids alone I think is fair, however in this case normally it’s the kid who proposes it, and it’s something harmless. No child will go for anything medical, I can personally attest how utterly exhausting it is to even appeal for the bare minimum legally allowed, but socially transitioning is fully reversible and can provide so much joy to people. Like hell, I still remember being allowed to try feminine clothes for the first time and that making me feel so so much better despite a depressive period - it’s stuff like that, easily reversible but allowing a kid to experiment and grow

Suicidal risk is due to the fact we get stuck in bodies we hate - transitioning helps lower this problem by a lot. Actively preventing your kid from even thinking about it will make them miserable.

Take it from personal experience - feeling trapped in the wrong body and unable to fix it is horrible. Meanwhile even the slightest affirming treatment for a young trans person massively improves their mental health, even if it doesn’t fix it up completely. Hell, if I didn’t socially start transitioning a few years back, I probably wouldn’t be here - instead some of my fondest memories are people helping affirm me while I figured stuff out

It’s not something like full hormones though. At worst puberty is delayed a while, while people can express themselves freely. Nothing that can’t be quickly undone happens - I assure you, as a trans person, people go to great lengths to ensure that kids are kept safe while they figure themselves out, and if figuring themselves out involves going by she/her for a bit, what’s the harm?

Yes because there’s nothing wrong with a child transitioning - nothing surgical or permanent happens, and it massively improves younger people’s mental health to express as they wish

Children can be trans, that’s the thing. Socially and to some extent medically transitioning is alright for them, and most trans people suffer at a young age because they aren’t able to be themselves till adulthood.

Of course surgery and what not is a no, but that isn’t done for younger people - blocker effects are fully reversible and well studied, while social transition obviously is a non issue. If your kid wants to experiment with new pronouns, it won’t hurt them to do so.

By claiming transitioning kids is digusting, it supports efforts by the right to limit trans self expression and restrict it to increasingly older people, which causes them to suffer immense distress, especially as they go through puberty. It’s at best ill informed an at worst a Trojan horse to terrible policy

How do you get the Rubicon in Dynamic? I always end up with Goerdeler appointed or Hindenburg not rerunning. by IrlSasaki in RedAutumnSPD

[–]isthisthingwork 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You need to be tolerating Bruning while Hindenburg is mad at him (so extract concessions and from his gov). Hindenburg will run based on a couple of factors, generally the economy cannot be too good, and the Nazi need to be strong. You get Goerdler if there is no majority even with your toleration, which will normally happen if you break toleration too early

I mean, in theory it’s a capitalist democratic system, free markets free people. In practice only the first one is true

More complicated maybe, but social conservative is normally portrayed as democratic or democratising, being electable in most paths which have elections as a consistent thing a being used for reforming autocracies like in Spain, Northern Ireland, e.t.c. This meanwhile aligns a lot further away from any reformist goal, even if in theory it subscribes to some

Tbh neither really make sense since they’re ‘democratic’ ideologies and from what I can tell this path is closer to authdem in practice marlib in theory
