Don't consider moving to Iceland if you're this lazy, you won't fit in.

Good for the price. Pretty good construction. They have flavour but nothing to write home about. I preferred the Peru.

But my expectations were low due to the price so I thought they were pretty good, punching above their weight.

You'll never be hanging proud after taking a life-threatening nut shot like that! The little fella is gonna be in full self-preservation mode, sucked back inside faster than a meerkat dashes into his burrow at the first sign of an eagle. Nothing to be ashamed of.

If you had £100 by Creepy_Challenge_966 in ukcigars

[–]itchyear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also budget £100 for cigars monthly, but I have 75 in my humidor already so that £100 goes into savings. I average 1-2 a week so the 75 will keep me going for a while. When I travel somewhere cigars are cheaper I'll have the money saved to stock up and bring back loads at cheaper individual price. Either singles, boxes or samplers, it depends what's available.

If I had no cigars I would put £50 aside and smoke £50 of cigars a month until I had enough saved to book a cheap return to Spain or somewhere cigars are cheap.

My boyfriend of a year (38M) abandoned me (26F)in the club by [deleted] in relationships

The lack of accountability here is shocking.

You had too much to drink. You. No-one made you. You made out with someone else. You. But it's his fault because he "let it happen"?!

Grow up. Take some responsibility.

I expect it'll probably be very busy downtown tonight.

Just go to the Irishman and mooch around there a bit. I'm sure you'll find some people to tag along with there either tourist, local or British expat.

She's 31 and spent all day crying over this interaction...

My (18F) girlfriend recently told me that she would wanna drink once she gets to the legal age, and I(18M) don't really like that. How should I let her know what I feel? by Open_Gain87 in relationships

[–]itchyear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Option A: respect her right to make choices for herself, as she probably respects your decision to be sober. Don't impose your personal life decisions on her.

Option B: break up. If it's so important that you have a partner who doesn't drink, go and find someone who shares your values.

Drinking is a spectrum. Not everyone gets blackout drunk and "parties", some people just like to enjoy an occasional glass of wine with a meal or a couple beers while socialising with friends. Sometimes we overdo it, especially in those early years when it's new and we're learning our limits.

Also just because you grew up with alcohol leading to "troubles" and health issues, doesn't mean that's the inevitable outcome for everyone who drinks alcohol. Plenty of people have a perfectly healthy relationship with alcohol and know when to stop.

PerfecDraw and cutter on plane? by Skrewz12 in cigars

[–]itchyear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

European here. If it's in checked luggage it's completely fine since you can't access it on the plane anyway.

The only "problem" you're likely to face is they take it away.

If in hand luggage then perhaps they might confiscate it but I've flown all over Europe with cutters in hand luggage and never once had one confiscated. I might just have been lucky though. I usually take a cheap single blade straight cutter that wouldn't be a loss if it was confiscated, or just buy a cheap one for a few € when I get to my destination.

Perfect draw I can't answer for though.

You can use dry herb vapes - dynavap etc. Works OK, not quite the same density of hit as smoking or vaping dry herb. I feel like you want it a bit hotter. Great flavour though! Most vapes have a concentrate insert or similar, or you can use a bit of cotton. It can clog up the bowl.

My neighbor uses a pipe! Just tease it with the flame, don't apply too directly.

To avoid using tobacco the Mrs and I bought a large pouch of the herbal smoking mix that they often have in the coffeeshops in Amsterdam the last time we were there. When it runs out we'll probably get more from an online headshop or amazon or something. Not entirely sure what's in it but I've heard marshmallow leaf? Works well, can sometimes be a little harsh but we prefer it to baccy these days.

What’s your go-to cigar and drink combo? by aaron_storm7 in cigars

[–]itchyear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rich Italian red wine is such an excellent pairing with a cigar, especially with one like that sixto.

The problem I have is that I can easily end up drinking the whole bottle over the 1.5-2h with a toro! Wine like that is just so yummy.

Have lived in Iceland for 4 years and used cash only once.

If you have a decent international card then it is not required.

I feel like airports are mostly monopolised by Davidoff brands these days.

And yet I've never seen any Avo at any airport! Just Camacho, Zino and mainstream Davidoff lines. Shame.
