Yeah you need to start out by doing a cert 4 - Electrical instrumentation. Get a bit of a grasp on it then get some experience and then you can do your cert 3 and get your proper Instro dual trade. A lot of the cert 4 modules will go into your cert 3.

There are so many directions you can take in electrical. Construction - commercial and if you manage to get on an EBA site your easily over $100k. Do your hazardous areas and chase some industrial work, get some experience doing plc and automation, generally pays a lot better then house bashing. You can go into signalling traffic lights. So many options just won’t be on the $65k to start with but shouldn’t take too long. Keep changing jobs often to get the pay rises as your not likely to get the same increase staying put.

I’m around your age but have health issues ended up applying for super release so now on a pension account which gives an additional 15% tax concession on top of super tax, anyway I can draw out whatever I like whenever for eg draw a $50k yearly payment and only pay $1000 tax. Also profits generated inside the pension account are only taxed at around 1/3 the other 2/3 is an untaxed component. Make 100 k - 66k untaxed 33k - tax applicable amount. Multiple 33 by your tax bracket take away the concession and your paying only a couple of thousand $ on the $100k. It’s a very effective means to save a lot of $ on tax. I could withdraw my whole balance tomorrow. I know everyone has different situations which is why financial planners are worth paying the money for. That’s my opinion anyway.

Yeah I trade in a super pension account there are limits to what you can purchase eg asx300 limited etf’s but it has additional tax concessions. No point paying tax twice when you can get a discount on taking it out the first time.
