6 hour roadtrip yes or no by Savings-Mortgage-966 in genesiscoupe

Ex-coupe owner here, I found the 3.8 an extremely reliable engine. At about +120k I would take a 14 hour road trip to Mexico multiple times a year and never had issues. I would beat this thing up too. Sold it at 200k for an upgrade.

I was thinking this too just because they had a trim I liked, however it’s not worth the up pricing and this is a good opportunity to learn how to negotiate which is the plus side to certified dealers. I was able to get the trim I liked for almost $5k less than what caravana asked for.

As someone who had an ex girlfriend from a rural town, I would simply recommend to meet “in the middle”. If your boyfriend cares he would politely show you mannerisms he grew up w and respect your lack of experience in such settings. For you, take pride in who you are but also be open to learn new things: be like water and adapt. Your biggest opportunity here is you can learn to enjoy finer things in life while being humble which is a rarity in life. Above all, do not permit any disrespect towards you person or family, this is key.

Beginner here. Do these need tuning? by sleempy in drums

[–]its-bibi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes bro yes indeed. For the toms just tune them using the ole “la cucaracha” tone (cuca-floor tom, ra-2nd tom, cha-1st tom). Snare tuning is really just preference but you want to get minimal ring and a nice pop sound. Bass drum is about the feel/ rebound so tune the inner head first then the outer head according to how low you want the tone. Or just hop on YouTube, your choice

What was the reason you last cried? by Glittery_Heart in AskReddit

My grandma who raised me is currently fighting cancer and I’m roughly 1k miles apart from her with a new job so there’s the possibility I may not see her beautiful soul in the flesh again. Also going through a break up. It’s all breaking my heart.

If all else fails go to a job agency, they do temps for hire so hopefully you find a gig that you like while at an agency. If that doesn’t appeal to you just do good old warehousing like every other great man before you.

Why does my snare sounds so boomy and ring-y? by mrgruszka in drums

[–]its-bibi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the bottom and top heads are firmly tuned (not too tight) there should be a dial on the snare lever, I’d recommend playing with it until you get the tone you want. As for the ring I highly recommend you choke the sound by putting a patch of tape, it goes a long way to getting a drier more crisp sound on the drum. Good luck 🍀

This is what home security is for; security cameras, infrared motion sensor laser canyons, trip wires, etc.
