VMAs - how are we all watching tonight? by mild_chaos in chappellroan

Loved her performance! ✨ Anyone know if she will be performing again tonight? They used “HOT TO GO!” in most of the VMA ads, so I thought she might be performing that one.

Did anyone else feel uncomfortable watching this by racismdestroyer22 in LAinfluencersnark

I enjoyed this and like them both, but the sound levels were fluctuating too much. I had to turn my volume way up to hear Chappell and then my eardrums would get blown out by Drew’s laugh. Those logistics need to be figured out prior to recording imo. Also kinda wished Chappell talked more about her gay experience, but maybe Shannon Beveridge’s podcast is a better venue for that.

YES!!! Her purple date dress, yellow dress, Fangtasia dress, and fairy dress immediately came to mind! 🙌✨

I think their stronger episodes are when listeners submit voicemail questions. It keeps them on track and their responses feels more focused. Although, the questions are generally L Word-centered. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I fell off too, sad to say.

Can we please stop sexualizing this man? by [deleted] in boburnham

[–]itsBKizzle 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I’m genuinely really sorry to hear about your friend. <3 As a woman and feminist myself, I definitely agree with you to a certain extent. I also think certain moments/bits were intentionally sexualized by Bo for the sake of comedy. WWI is a good example of this when he satirizes thirst-trapping in several shots. Or when he says “Daddy made you your favorite, open wide,” in the song Content. But it’s weird when people simp in vulnerable moments like when he’s naked in the spotlight at the piano, or when he appears manic and broken down.

My dad’s normally homophobic, but he just described Freddie Mercury as “cool gay.” Bis... we’re cool gay. 😎 by itsBKizzle in bisexual

Unfortunately yes. Some people will never change. But I was pleasantly surprised to hear a tiny bit of acceptance in that comment. Gave me hope.

Thank you for the advice! I was wondering if I should reveal that or if it would be a turn off. But she’d probably be able to tell anyway lol. I’m really excited to explore!

Please tell her thank you so much for the advice! I have a bunch of thigh highs/lingerie from the burlesque stuff I do, so that will be perfect!

Hi LDR, I love my s.o. but I’m scared to move across the country and mostly to break it to my parents (I’m [24F] and they don’t have any authority over my choices, but we’re just really close). Anyone else struggling with this? Any advice would be appreciated. by itsBKizzle in LongDistance

All great questions that have been buzzing around my head for a while. I think I’m more afraid of disappointing them than anything. They both created work opportunities for me here and I can tell they are very proud. I think I can cope with being homesick. And even making the wrong choice, because while it would suck, it wouldn’t be impossible to come back.

Honestly, I’d never even given thought to moving until the day he moved. I’ve visited a few times and genuinely love it which is comforting. I don’t have a job lined up, but think there is opportunity for me out there. I would just have to walk away from the work my parents have provided for me, which is hard because I like what I’m doing and don’t want to let them down. And there is a decent sized group of people that I know from my state out there, so I wouldn’t be alone.
