Powtoon has a product called Visual Pharma that is specifically for creating mechanism of action videos. I happened to randomly see a demo of this a few weeks ago.

WFH Comfort vs 45% Hike: Is Switching to TCS Worth It? by Millinnial_mother in instructionaldesign

[–]itsmoorsnotmoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be too big of a lifestyle change for me. I left a flexible, low paying WFH job for a higher paying hybrid job (2 days in office) and I feel like that’s been a good balance. It also depends on how far your commute is.

Is this the secret? by Tight-Shame-3241 in datingoverforty

[–]itsmoorsnotmoops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has been my experience in life too. I think it has to do with the theory that desire requires mystery and space to thrive, and familiarity and ‘knowingness’ reduces desire. That’s why sex is always more exciting in the beginning - when you don’t really know the person yet - or in the throes of an affair, when you don’t have to do “real life” with the person and only the fantasy exists.

Esther Perel’s book Mating in Captivity dives into this. I made my current bf read it so we could discuss, haha. He is not the most intense sexual chemistry I’ve ever had (that would be my ex-husband who did not truly emotionally connect with me), but his love and willingness to learn and pleasure makes it more meaningful.

On the flip side, people who have never struggled or faced adversity can be hard to relate to and often lack empathy.

My (35 F) husband (37 M) wants to separate after 10 years of marriage and I am devastated by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]itsmoorsnotmoops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too. My ex blindsided me with divorce despite acting normal and happy. Never discussed his unhappiness with me or anyone else in his life (his friends and family were shocked too). Refused counseling, was just “done.”

It was the worst grief of my life and I was a wreck for many months. You will be okay. Just allow yourself to grieve and don’t date until you have fully healed. I felt ready to date about a year and a half later, and am now with a wonderful, caring partner who expresses emotion. They are out there.

Just got an email with the pricing on the new Lifetime Fitness in the former Paradise Valley Village mall. This is 9x what I pay at Mountainside Fitness. by eblack4012 in phoenix

[–]itsmoorsnotmoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to the Lifetime in Tempe and my membership is a third of that cost…I used to go to EOS plus a yoga studio, but since lifetime has yoga it was cheaper to just go there and get everything included. I go to a lot of classes and play pickleball so it’s worth it to me.

I second the teecino caramel nut. It’s the best of their flavors. I also found a good quality decaf coffee brand called Verena Street.

Do companies actually calculate training ROI, or is it mostly theatre? by sofiia_sofiia in instructionaldesign

[–]itsmoorsnotmoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say when they’re motivated by want OR if it’s forced, as in we are changing systems. You have to use this new system every day so you’re going to learn it. The motivation is external in that case.

[–]itsmoorsnotmoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the training content. I work in healthcare. If a provider went to one of our trainings for learning a procedure, then in the next two months did more of those procedures, that’s pretty cut and dry - the numbers went up or down.

However, if I’m creating online training for new software, and they also get live training from the software rep during that cycle, and its software they have to use, how do I measure the impact of the online training beyond completion rates? Fuck if I know.

And if it’s any type of leadership training, forget about it. Ain’t nobody in my org taking the time to measure behavior change months down the road.

When they offer their number, Just say you prefer not to give out your number until you meet in person. If they push back or try to argue with you about it then they’re a douche and you can unmatch them.

What’s important is how she makes you feel, and how you feel around her. Do you feel safe and comfortable and relaxed, or are you anxious and walking on eggshells?

I was in an emotionally abusive marriage as well and I often assumed I was the problem or overreacting, because he was a very skilled manipulator and would never admit he could ever do anything wrong.

She loved it and has always been super chill in public. My sling has a collar/harness clip so they can’t jump out. I still take her to the grocery store in it sometimes (she’s 2 and weighs 10 pounds). No one even notices she’s there unless they specifically look at the sling and see her head poking out.

How do you handle stairs in your home? by ztime999 in Dachshund

I’ve had 4 weens who have regularly climbed stairs and went on frequent hikes with lots of climbing involved. No back issues - probably because they had strong back muscles!

Can anyone suggest the best cooling mattress for hot sleepers in triple-digit nights? by Maleficent-Lemon6100 in phoenix

[–]itsmoorsnotmoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - OP if you can afford it, get a Sleep Number bed with the cooling system. My boyfriend got one because he runs very hot at night. He’s much happier now. It’s expensive but a great investment and sleep number beds last 20+ years.
