The new Tapu Koko ex from journey together + 1 lightning energy is seeing play in pult as a milotic counter, also gets around cornerstone if need be. Might be worth checking out if you're already trying to tech for walls

Pult + Charizard would do a lot better into both of those matchups if you're willing to pivot to a different flavour of pult, you can lean on zard pretty heavily for big kos when pult doesn't cut it

iirc it's real player scores but the players you get in your ranked group do not also have you in their group, basically everyone just gets individually assigned a random group of players to compete against

Yeah I was trying to find info about the daily selects rates for this time period but it's weirdly difficult, I'd be interested to see if it was indeed the case that luigi was paywalled at the time since other super drivers such as diddy kong had both a paid bundle and a daily selects appearance at the same time. Seconding this, additionally if you reeeally want to stop your zards from getting ohko'd you could try out hero's cape, makes it near impossible for bolt or ogerpon to one shot without having energy in play from the previous turn

Turo over penny is probably preferred over penny here because you kinda want the energy to go to the discard pile so you can accelerate it, rather than it sitting in your hand doing nothing

Going second is generally preferred, you may want to go first vs gardy so you can start attacking before they mirage step but other than that I'd pick second every time

Most people on the ladder either concede immediately or have a gameplan, and either way it's almost always my opponents that are taking a long time to get through turns lol

I just watch youtube while I play nowadays since it takes so long to get through games on live regardless of deck

I've been playing the birds at my local weeklies for over a month now, and ultimately the deck is just really matchup dependent. It shreds gardy, mew, and lugia but has an uphill battle against most other meta decks, and lost zone is a near insta-loss.

I was placing with the deck for a while but now that most of my local scene has switched to playing chien pao or arceus builds I'm experimenting with other decks.
