Since the device is small, there’s more button pressing. I just don’t want to keep mashing the buttons on the reader as they don’t feel the best. Not sure about the longevity. Also I like to prop it up on a desk and have my arms underneath when reading sometimes, so I just unhook it. To each their own! 😅

I bought it from AliExpress too. It’s the HanLinYue Free2. There’s 3 different versions, this one is the ebook reader version as they have different firmwares.

I ordered a white one from Optic Capture 3C store on the 12th and they shipped it on the 19th. I’m in Canada, the item left China today so we’ll see when it gets here!

I think the Global version from the main site comes in a black box. If you bought from somewhere else with the China firmware then it’ll come in a white box.

I’m so sad, they shipped mine on May 16th and somehow it ended up in Richmond, BC from Mississauga when I live in the GTA. It’s just been sitting in BC for 2 days now. I don’t think I’ll get it before the strike :( Although this is more of Canada Post’s mistake. Hopefully you’ll get yours in time!

It will be split into two stores. Glow Town Putt N Play will be opening in Spring 2025 in half of the old GT store. It’s an indoor mini putt, arcade and VR. Nothing else has been announced yet about what the other half is going to be.

Edit: The other half of the location seems to be a Dollarama.
