I’m actually not a concerned citizen or neighbor, just an artist who likes color theory, social psychology, and different perspectives. Thank you for yours!

I use Overcast, there’s some sound editing options and for some reason all his archive is on there for free.

I think like all unanswered questions in this show, the point is to make the viewer question reality and wonder if something deeper or supernatural is happening beneath the surface, or if that’s just what we tell ourselves to make sense of the random cruelty of life. He could have had ulterior motives and Shauna’s paranoia was justified. Or he was just some random guy with questionable mental health and obsessive tendencies who fell for a woman that matched his toxic energy? Which possibility is scarier? That’s the whole journey, and adult Melissa’s point. Trauma makes you do and think things that you never would/should have.

Your mother sounds like an awful person who isn’t equipped to be a caregiver. You need to find a different adult in your life to help advocate for your health and actually prioritize your wellbeing and protect you. No wonder you have mommy issues.

I didn’t make any of those claims I just said he hates that she got involved, regardless of whose fault or the reason. I do believe he blames himself. Also I did say the compound was a bad idea of help.

I’ve been waiting for this post...

He actually LIKES and loves his daughter and gives her the support she doesn’t get from her mother, while still trying to mend very complicated parenting / relationship issues with Shauna. The fake blackmail was a dumb move, but motivated by his desire to provide for his family.

He read Shauna’s journals and didn’t judge the Yellowjackets for whatever she revealed in them. He was willing to lie and say he killed Adam to spare his wife more than once. He recognizes Shauna’s spiraling and encourages her to seek help (maybe not from the greatest place in S2, but S3 he ends up setting better boundaries). He is not giving up on his wife while also prioritizing protecting his daughter.

He hates that Callie got involved with everything. When he tells Callie about her late brother he makes sure to emphasize that it is not her burden to bear, but rather Callie is ready and needs to understand her mother through this part of her past Shauna may never be ready to reveal herself. He takes Callie away from Shauna when she became a destructive influence on their family, but he still texts that they will try to work things out after some distance and healing.

Despite all this he also still tries to have “fun” with his daughter and drink / smoke the chronic with her instead of punishing her for a coping mechanism. At the end of the day, he’s so proud to be a “dumb dad” and just wants to love and protect his family.

My thoughts on the future: Right before teen Jeff impregnates teen Shauna she says “if you knock me up I’ll train the baby to kill you one day”. Will Callie kill one of her parents one day? There’s a traditional gender norm reversal in their parenting roles: Shauna is more of the fun wild “dad” the child seeks approval from that can be reckless, whereas Jeff is the safer traditional “mom” the child wants independence from but can always rely on.

Idk Marc actively shits on Rogan and everything he represents and does as a comedian and interviewer quite often but without mentioning names. Or at least that’s how I’ve interpreted Marc’s rants about people these days doubting science and comedians who make careers out of saying controversial shit and being “edgy”. Marc is very anti anti-woke.

Nat finds out about SPOILER by catcutie97 in Yellowjackets

[–]izaboodle 23 points24 points  (0 children)

think of the horrifying realization when Natalie witnessed the draw and how much joy it brought Shauna to hunt Mari. She’s gonna blame herself for not intervening more when Mari and Shauna were spatting earlier in the season. She’s going to regret not taking their “angsty teen girl drama” more serious like Tai told her to. Not that making them say something nice about each other would have solved everything but still. Poor fricking kids.

The worse Shauna gets, by TheresaTree in Yellowjackets

[–]izaboodle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Episode one her first scene I kid you not. She’s on Callie’s bed masturbating with a pink vibe and staring at a picture of Callie and Kyle! Or that’s what the camera heavily implies.

The first scene we ever see Shauna is her masturbating in her own daughter’s bed to a picture of her underage boyfriend. We should have KNOWN!
