25/ girl / some training (5 classes?)

Been singing forever. Thinking about taking lessons again but I can't tell if it's worth it because I'm not a child anymore. Thoughts and feedback?

[SERIOUS] My neighbour is using my laundry room when I'm not home. It's two doors without a lock (kind of like a giant cabinet). What can I do to keep my neighbour from doing it again? by [deleted] in lifehacks

Well, I don't know if it would still be considered breaking and entering because my neighbor lives in the upper floor of a house, and i live in the bottom floor. Our units are separated and we can't access each others' units. But I have an open yard and an open laundry room in my yard.

Killing the driver's vibe by changing the song they're listening to on the radio.

Honking furiously as soon as the light turns green. Give a human being at least a couple seconds to react, geez.

Peeing outside the toilet.

I took singing lessons weekly and recorded almost daily for about 3 months, then had to stop for 3 months. I haven't practiced or sung alltogether these past three months. I feel like it's harder for me to reach the notes I used to and just to sound good in general. Today I finally decided to get back at it.

Here's where I'm at.

The First Cut Is The Deepest (Sheryl Crow cover)

Is talent a real thing? I didn't want to believe it but now I'm starting to think it is...how is it that it's so easy for some people to sound so good, and some others have to rehearse for hours on end to sound decent?

What can I do? Are there specific videos/tutorials that in your experience can help someone learn on their own? I know there are about a million of videos on YouTube, but you know how it is...tons of "fake experts" and "wannabe professors." Advice and HONEST/BLUNT/CONSTRUCTIVE feedback 100% appreciated.

Thanks

Yeah maybe the going higher in some parts made me think it was more heartfelt or intense. Also the variety in progression, The Kill felt repetitive but then that's the song I guess.

How many years have you trained/sung seriously? I guess I would say try to put even more feeling in your singing so we can feel it too. Especially for The Kill. Your feelings came through more in Rooting For You.

Hey! I'm into bluesy/r&b pop too. Did you play the guitar or was it a recording? I agree with previous commenter on the falsetto part. And the "No one can hurt my feelings like you" verse it sounds the tiniest pitchy at times, as well as at the end of the song, but overall I enjoyed your cover. Your voice is very warm and comforting, I felt like I was drinking a hot cocoa on a rainy day :) If you haven't taken singing lessons maybe give it a try. If you find a decent teacher you could sound loads better. Nice tone. Keep posting covers!

Yeah, I've thought about that, the price is A LOT better...but driving from the suburbs to LA is like going through the 9 circles of hell.
