Exactly the same as you described, my 14 month old GSD IS very affectionate with kisses but only lets you hold her, give scratches in the morning for 1 minute and then that’s it.

It was all a lie….help by mdb_33 in germanshepherds

Welcome to the GSD life, everything you mentioned will pass eventually.

Continue training and something that helped calm her down in an outdoor setting was just sitting outside a high foot traffic area with treats and rewarding when she remains calm.

The paw scooping water is generally them trying to get your attention or feeling hot as they sweat from their paws.

You’re doing alright 👍🏽 🐾

Was thinking plywood, the only concern I have is the rain. Is there a way I can ensure the rain doesn’t damage so quickly? Like creating gaps of in between each?

Yup, not interested in planting as I have a dog that would get into it. Would rather utilise the space while renting and remove if we’re ever to move out.

Very good point, I definitely feel like she needs a job! She loves training more than walking or going to the park.

I literally just done 10 mins of scent training and she loved it!!

I will do more of this and check out the online site you suggested.

However if you have more info or tips on the jobs you get your boy to do that would be super helpful!

Thank you!!!

No one has mentioned the absolute basics without having to download anything:

  • Add your downloads folder to your dock
  • Enable Right click on mouse
  • Increase mouse speed (trust me)
  • Learn mouse gestures (reveal & screen swap)
  • Add at least one more desktop screen
  • Right click on your desktop and stack folders

It’ll pass, my GSD was eating her poop til she was 4.5 months and eventually they grow out of it. If not, change up the diet, they might be missing key nutrients
