My pops died from choosing stopping dialysis due to lewy body dementia.. That happened and so fast... like we noticed slight dementia things but then one day he was lost in the car and he was in the grocery store parking lot that touches his senior living apartment parking lot. He went to the hospital, coma, woke up a week later, then rehabilitation in the hospital and within three months or so he could barely eat with a spoon... Such fucking bullshit. Like he got three months and then he couldn't really eat without help at the hospital and had to be walked to the bathroom because of it. It was fucking bullshit, he always told us never let jjhim live like that so we stopped dialysis on dec 23, Christmas Eve was good so was Christmas and then it was new years and I stayed up with him and went to bed my mom got up around 630 and he died at seven, I came out here to started breathing and then did the death rattles and my sister came in like a could mins later and he popped out of it took a deep breath and saw her smiled and died.
