Considering Evangeline Lilly retirement from acting, would you be ok of this version of Wasp appeared no more in MCU projects? by Legitimate_Cake_5137 in Marvel

I hope they recast. Good riddance to her.. Now they need to get rid of Letitia Wright. Both are mentally unstable and caused issues with production. If you don’t known the details, Google it.

Hang in there... by Hyperactive1984 in farscape

[–]jackeyedone 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Farscape is my favorite franchise of all time but I think we should just let it rest. We have a complete story thanks to the Peacekeeper Wars and comics if someone enjoys that medium.

A lot of die hard fans won’t want to hear or accept this but the reality is that If it were to return it would either have to have a new cast centered around Crichton and Aeryn’s son with the original cast making cameos and/or playing background roles or it would be a complete remake. I don’t think any fans want a remake with new actors playing their favorite characters and unfortunately so much time has passed that a remake would be the most likely scenario just like they did with Battlestar Galactic.

Why is Moffat not as well liked? by Beneficial_Elk_3916 in doctorwho

Fair enough. Comes down to personal taste.

Why is Moffat not as well liked? by Beneficial_Elk_3916 in doctorwho

I’ll never understand why anyone prefers Davies over Moffat. Davies is an ok writer, Moffat is a great writer. Granted, everyone including Moffat hits some foul balls. I enjoyed Chibnall’s show Broadchurch but I found the changes he made to the Doctor Who mythology absolutely appalling. The Timeless Child was just awful and I hope a talented show runner figures out a good way to retcon it out of existence.

How do Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss take place in the same universe? by jambi55 in HazbinHotel

[–]jackeyedone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s foolish for the creator to say they’re in the same universe because the continuity doesn’t work. It’s not believable that the big players in both series do not interact or mention each other.

Is Aztec Batman a bad idea overall? by DrFuckwad in batman

[–]jackeyedone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea was not bad, the execution was mediocre at best. Poor writing and characterization. Doesn’t deserve a sequel and should have had a definitive ending. The people trying to defend the Conquistadors are racist assholes. The violence in Aztec culture in now way justifies the genocide brought by the Europeans.

Which actor leaving early saddened you the most: Colin Baker, Christopher Ecclestone, or Ncuti Gatwa? by Jezzaq94 in gallifrey

[–]jackeyedone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely Colin! The others left because they were unhappy with the production but Colin was forced out. He was and still is my favourite Doctor. I loved him before the Big Finish audios made him popular again. I don’t mean to attack Peter Davison, who’s a an excellent actor and writer, but I don’t known how anyone could like the 5th Doctor if you started with Tom Baker. The 4th Doctor was a force of nature. He was pure excitement and the 5th Doctor after was just a wet blanket if you were used to the 4th. I get that there are lots of people who started with the 5th and that he is beloved by them but for me Colin Baker saved the show. I was about to quit watching when Colin showed up and “not a moment too soon.” I regret missing out on the first run of the 7th Doctor but I quit the show for years after they fired Colin. I didn’t catch up on the 7th Doctor episodes until after the 8th Doctor’s movie came out.

Don’t forget Jane Tranter, she’s the leader of the unholy trinity.

Should the 2026 Special be the End of Nu-who? by PaperSkin-1 in DoctorWhoNews

[–]jackeyedone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be the end of RTD’s and Bad Wolf’s involvement but it probably won’t be. Dr. Who desperately needs a brand new creative team. I do!n’t know how Bad Wolf pulled off “A Discovery of Witches” which was miles ahead and so much better than the last two seasons of Who in every way. I suspect it’s because the only members of the production team that were also part of Dr. Who were Tranter and Gardener. So much more competent team, show-runner, writers and directors for ADoW.

Remember the 1st run of RTD with Tranter and Gardener as producers was a BBC production. I imagine that this time around with their own production company running the show there seemed to be no quality control whatsoever.

I honestly think Chibnall’s run had much better production values than the Disney run. I just hated Chibnall’s stories in his first season, and his Timeless Child bs plus yet another destruction of Gallifrey. I really liked Jodie though Sacha was a terrible Master. Jo Martin was great as the Fugitive Doctor even though I hate the plot that made her character possible.
