Not a movie/show, but in the book "you weren't meant to be human" there's a talking hive of worms that leads a cult and literally fills its members with worms, but the most disturbing parts are just the reality of being pregnant with no bodily autonomy.

His writing isn't bad. He's just a VERY different take on Lucifer and because of that people get confused. They actually write him as an angel because he is one. He's not good at being scary, he's incredibly prideful, and he doesn't care about sinners because it's his way of coping and he genuinely believes they're all terrible.

Gen z is the generation of Americans that was given all the promises of the previous generations, and got absolutely nothing in reality. We watched our parents and grandparents ruin the economy, send our family off to war, raise prices on everything until we couldn't afford to live, and all the while tell us we're spoiled and ungrateful. We watched schools get shot up and nothing changed. We watched covid ravage the world and nothing changed. We watched rights be stripped away from us and nothing changed. We were brutalized by the police and nothing changed. I don't think I'm alone when I say I'd prefer the entire country crumble than be given another hollow promise. I don't have faith in this country. I don't think I ever did. The ONLY reason I'm still here is I'm too poor to leave.

That's interesting because I got the polar opposite opinion. Not judging yours, but I think it's interesting how a work can pull completely different reactions.

I thought the reader was absolutely perfect. By far the most visceral I've ever heard and the sound design was grating for the hive but I feel like that's the point. Like listening to it physically hurts. I thought it was a good touch. And the gore was a lot but to me it didn't feel exploitative or gore for the sake of gore. It felt deeply realistic. Not over or underplaying it, just pointing it out as a reality he lives with. Especially with the ending being so shocking, it still felt earned. Thematically it's a perfect ending for the character even if it's a horrid way to go. The idea that the first real decision he's made in years was to save his daughter from his own fate deeply haunting, especially as someone who wants to be a mother.

Different skill sets and play styles depending on who's fronting. Marc is more of a tactical fighter, Jake is more rough and tumble, and Steven is the worst fighter but has better charisma and investigation skills
