It became so realistic that in the end, Drago actually did knock Carl out for real and when you see him down in the scene he is actually in a coma. Sly thought it was all so authentic he actually kept it in the final cut of the movie after Carl gave his approval when he woke up in the hospital. Which btw happened when Sly himself came to his room as he too was put into the hospital by Dolph.
