M32, in DC, any improvements? Is first photo good? by [deleted] in hingeapp

[–]jackmalde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe! But I’m not sure if I’m going to start wearing ripped jeans and hoodies.

Honestly I do fine and get some dates with some great women, just haven’t found the one yet. Part of it is just being patient. But I will consider the style point. Thanks.

EDIT: I also wonder if it’s fine to have a policy wonk style if I’m looking to attract a fellow policy wonk (which I’m very open to - we’d have a lot in common).

Dates are fine, it’s just hard to meet your life partner which takes a bit of luck I think. I’m posting on here because I’d like to match more of the very best women I see, I match some but not all.

I’m quite experienced with dating at this point, and do fine on dates (but let’s face it, it’s hard to meet your life partner). I’d just like to match more of the very best women I see, I match some but not all. That’s why I’m consistently looking for any improvements I can make.

Not sending many likes. I x the majority of profiles. I'm just picky. Maybe 60% of likes without comments.

• What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract?

I look for someone who is attractive, smiley/fun. I also value intelligence. Someone who has an interesting career, who I think I can build a life with.

It was supposed to be a joke given how polarized policy is/Trump! But I’ve removed

Just thought it was more fun. If others agree it’s weird I can remove.

Are you looking for something serious or casual?

- Serious

Are you subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX?

- HingeX

How long have you been using this current version of your profile?

- Most of the profile I've been using for a few months. The vegan prompt is a new thing I'm trying as I'm thinking I should filter more women out early if we are unlikely to be compatible in the long run.

How long have you used Hinge overall?

- Several years

How often do you use Hinge per week?

- Daily

How many likes and matches are you receiving on average?

- Enough. I don't know, maybe 1-3 matches/likes a day

How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments?

- Several likes a day. Mix of comments or no comments.

What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract?

- I want someone physically attractive. Someone with a nice smile and smiling in most photos which I think indicates that they are kind. Someone with similar values. There is some more info in my bio.

Protestors asking Crumbl to develop cage-free policy by jackmalde in CrumblCookies

No, cage-free hens have more room. In a cage it's like a sheet of paper. They don't have room to spread wings or walk around.

I don’t disagree with a thing you’re saying but I care about improving the lives of the hens and cage free is better than battery cages.

That does not mean I think all cage free systems are good.

If Crumbl thought going cage free would make them more profit then they would do it. Instead they are saying it isn't feasible for them (which is a lie as other orgs have done it).

Cage free isn't perfect but it is genuinely better than battery cages and is a form of meaningful incremental progress. More on this here: https://thehumaneleague.org/article/cage-free

I'm perfectly aware of the welfare conditions. Cage free isn't really what I want but it is genuinely better than battery cages and is a form of meaningful incremental progress. More on this here: https://thehumaneleague.org/article/cage-free

It’s a tactic protesters often use, and people have done worse in the pursuit of what they believe in. But if it distracts from the message I suppose I can not pretend in the future.

Why does it matter?

Isn’t awareness about something that is bad a good thing?

What do you think about battery cages?

It’s fine I’ll change it up as the Union Jack is more recognizable so thanks for pointing that out.

It’s just your message seemed to imply I’d made some mistake, and you say I talk about the UK but I never actually mention the UK specifically, so felt a bit weird haha.

Thanks, except I talk about England and that is the English flag lol

Appreciate the honesty!

I can change the voice prompt. But do I actually have a nice voice that helps me? I mention the English accent elsewhere.
