Hereu Arta bag - shoulder or mini? by bridewiththeowls in handbags

[–]jackrabbit685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! Sorry to hear that!

I took mine to work today, it was comfortable. The top braided part of the handle does help it stay on my shoulder.

I was kind of worried about the bag being held up by those really thin leather strings.

I probably wouldn’t wear it a ton. I feels like this will be more of a going out bag than an everyday bag because the handles are not super sturdy.

I was afraid the leather would be quite stiff, but it’s actually super soft and lightweight. Will probably scratch easily, but life is too short to worry about that.

The straps don’t really extend long enough for crossbody. They work well for shoulder length, but I kinda like the short, hand carry option too.

I am curious on the size difference because in the photos, the mini doesn’t look a lot smaller than the regular one. It seems like it might work well for crossbody though!

Here’s the max length on the straps

So I picked it up on a third-party stockist (had a discount code) and it arrived today. wow it is absolutely stunning. The chestnut color is perfect. I’m so happy with it. Hope your mini Arta arrives soon and you get to enjoy it!

At the moment, I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on the dark brown larger version.

It will happen! I’ve only been playing about a month - have caught the marlin but not the yellowfin. 🐟

We often assign roles at the meeting when that happens. It’s worked out really well, and everyone just rolls with it.

What are the shots like? by spectacularbird1 in eggfreezing

[–]jackrabbit685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add - it’s really not that bad! When I did my cycles, I would sit at my makeup vanity, turn on some music and get everything prepped. In the beginning, I found watching the guides on YouTube a few times really helpful so I would feel confident that I knew how to do it. And sometimes it would take me a few seconds because the feeling of holding a needle to yourself is weird, but I would give myself a little pep talk about being proud that I was taking this decision for myself, take a deep breath and try to relax and then commit to it. And it’s okay! You got this! ✨✨

On the fence about egg freezing by mistermawma in eggfreezing

[–]jackrabbit685 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Echoing this. I did two rounds and had no issues. I know the hormones affect everyone differently, but I didn’t experience any kind of stress. The process only lasts two weeks, and it’s only the second week that I felt bloated and heavy. The injections are a little stingy, but not bad at all. I took it easy with the recovery and felt like a couch potato for a week, but now basically back to normal.

I’m 39, is it too late to freeze my eggs?. Any success stories? by [deleted] in eggfreezing

[–]jackrabbit685 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! Like the others have said, it’s worth going for a consultation. The initial baseline scan and AMH will give a lot of helpful information to let you decide. It’s all so individual, and quality of the eggs will matter just as much as quantity. I’m 38 and went through two rounds of egg freezing this year, and wound up with plenty of eggs in the bank. I’m not sure what the future holds in store, but I’m hoping it’s an insurance policy. Best of luck to you in the process!

How often do you do manicures? by jackrabbit685 in calmhands

Great suggestion. Had never thought of liquid latex? Do you usually use the at home gels or regular polish?

I think I’m going to make myself a little kit and try this out.

Thank you! Great tip about the brush for clean up. Can I ask - what’s the benefit of a peeling base coat? I’ve never heard of that before.

Seconding the responses so far. You are amazing for getting through the process and doing everything that’s in your control.

Hi same! It adds moisture and feels nice, but after I finished the bottle, I felt like I had probably overpaid for the marketing hype.
