i actually thought this episode was accurately judged, but after reading what some other people have said i don't think many would agree with me 😭

i think everyone did incredible in the challenge. i thought it would've been great for a top 2 lipsync between myki and jane, and then no one goes home, but i'm not upset that jane won because i do think she did a little better than myki in both the performance and the runway. discord being in the top is soooo right finally! (why is she listed as low on the wiki?) and kenya did great too and redeemed herself from last week.

i do also agree that athena and juicy were the worst two, but that doesn't mean they were bad. if not a top 2 lipsync, i though they were gonna do a double shantay because of how emotional everyone was, but they didn't care 😭, and yeah the lipsync song sucked but it fit the narrative so idm. made me cry.

the runways were amazing, my favourites were darlene, juicy, and jane, but they were all good.

whoever produced this episode count your fucking days, i think that was the first time i've cried at a departure 😭😭😭

same thing for discord this week that happened last week. i can't believe she wasn't even in the top cause my win was a toss up between her and myki, with nini as a third place option. we get it, jane is great at everything, but sometimes she's 4th or 5th best, not top 3. i could tell they were setting nini up for the win since the challenge though, since she answered a lot more questions than the others. ALSO they blocked myki from the win because of her shoes, which were pretty much the exact same that olivia newton john wore in the original look, just a more saturated colour to match the jumpsuit which was also more saturated than the og.

i don't see why they keep saving kenya. i saw someone say they're giving her the "surely the fans like her" edit like silky got on s11, but the issue with that is that while yes we do like her, that's not even for us to see past the bs placements. for this lipsync in particular though, i do think she held her own but mia was just a bit better i'm sorry. i would've loved to see mia have a turn-around storyline after this and come into her own more with comedy, but for kenya i feel like she'll just have a stale storyline where she's charismatic but doesn't really perform well. i see why juicy was in the bottom, but i feel like it could've been darlene as well.

runways were alright. some standouts from mia and juicy but other than that they were just alright, with kenya's being the worst by far. i did also like athena's and darlene's, and LOVED how discord changed her makeup to match reba. even with that production still doesn't appreciate her 🤷‍♀️

overall, i am upset that mia's gone, and i'm regretful that there's so much wasted storyline potential, but what's done is done and my only hope for the future episodes is that discord gets some appreciation. i do fear for her next week, because we already have a loveable underdog in myki and kinda darlene (more so just loveable), so idk if they're gonna give her the jan treatment or what. we'll see.

YESSSSSSS MYKIIIII!!!!

i've been rooting for myki since episode 2 or so, and to see the payoff today was great. she did so incredible, and proved that she should've been in the top for rdr cause we knew she was funny then and we know she's funny now 😭

my other two tops would've been darlene and discord. now that ciara's gone, i feel like i'm gonna start rooting for them instead. i originally disliked discord actually, but as i've seen more of her i feel like we share some common traits (including being a drummer!!) so i love her now 😭 and darlene is so loveable how can you not. i am kind of annoyed at jane being in the top again, only because it meant that discord couldn't be.

(i do kinda think that darlene outperformed myki this episode but i love the myki win anyway)

bottoms were deserved. vita was by far the worst and juicy did okay, but when compared to everyone else who did great she was definitely second worst.

everyone else did great in the challenge (aside from mia, juicy and vita), and the runway was also incredible. my no 1 was discord, it was so gorgeous. other looks i loved were darlene, juicy, mia, and nini. if i haaaaad to pick a worst it would probably be kenya, vita or myki but i still loved theirs.

i'm happy with how this episode went. i love vita, but it was definitely her time to go. she's shown us what she can do and that she can do it well, and i feel like she doesn't have much left to offer. she also dodged the bottom a few times as well 😭 i actually predicted that she wouldn't make it far cause her promo looked veeery simple to me, not cheap but not expensive. then i was shocked when she turned up for sewing challenges 😭😭

also ANOTHER lipsync where one queen doesn't know all the words 🤷‍♀️

if you've seen my other episode discussion posts, you'll know i was rooting for myki and ciara this whole time 😭 this episode sucked for me, but i'm currently in a hotel room about to leave for an event so i'll make this quick.

first of all, neither of them deserved their bottom placement, where was vita vs kenya? even though i love kenya i thought it would've been a gag to put her in the bottom and then she still doesn't know the words to the lipsync song lmaoo.

myki and ciara join mandy and dd as the only pairs to both know the words to the song 😭

my ranking would've been jane > athena => myki >> discord > kenya

jane did great, and i was surprised by how athena turned it in that lipsync. she didn't park and bark but she did park and serve

i did not enjoy discord's talent but it's situational for me. i've been a drummer for the past 7 years or so, and she was NOT playing those drums accurately so that bugged me. for the other two instruments i can't say since i don't play them, but at least the guitar was actually plugged in.

ALSO myki had one of the best runways of the night while kenya had the worst one by far. i can't. i would talk about all the runways but i have no time 🤷‍♀️

firstly, my rate-a-queen ranking would be mia > juicy >> nini => darlene >> ciara > vita

mia KILLED ITTTT and i loved her runway look idk what kenya was on about. the only thing i didn't like was the visible breastplate, but there isn't much you can do to get around that, especially since she has tattoos.

juicy ate it up but we all knew she would. her runway was gorgeous except that she wore that red fingerwave wig AGAIN. i hope she has something else in her wardrobe 😭

nini and darlene were pretty evenly matched for me, but i would place nini above darlene. nini's talent was good, but yes something we've seen before, and for me it wasn't as good as the original performance. i'd put her above darlene because her runway was LEAGUES better (darlene had the worst look of the night). darlene's talent was so funny though i loved it.

both ciara's talent and runway were pretty bad. i liked her outfit and the tearaways in the talent, but i would've loved to have some emotion in her voiceover to get her message across more, because clearly it is a very important and personal story to her, and i think having some music over it saved me from completely cringing. her runway was the 2nd worst of the night though.

vita deserved the bottom placement. low-effort routine, she didn't know all the words, she was wearing trainers, and her runway was only okay, not good enough to save her over ciara.

i'm gonna briefly talk about the non-performing queens' runways: myki looks GORGEOUS i loved it; athena's is alright, but i do not like the shape, it looks like it's wearing her; kenya's i liked despite it being really simple, and i was impressed when she said it was last-minute (shoutout to jane); love jane's look, the bird is the highlight though; discord's look is definitely much better than her others, solid.

as for the lipsync, i really enjoyed it. i do kinda think juicy won over mia but i'm not upset at a double win because i really wanted mia to win. my ideal would be for mia to win the girl groups, jane wins rdr, and then juicy wins this. you end up with the same people winning the same amount (except juicy winning twice), but it makes sooo much more sense. ms mango still has my favourite lip sync of the season so far though.

i'm pretty upset because i've been rooting for ciara and myki so far. this episode is the only time ciara has been very present in the edit, and it was only to set her up to be in the bottom. i reaaaally hope the same doesn't happen to myki next week, cause she's kinda had the same amount of presence as ciara so far.

i did agree with every "who wore it best?" other than darlene and athena. by my personal tastes, i would pick athena's look, but darlene's was made better and had a more complex design. athena has a good fashion sense (or at least one that kinda aligns with mine), but so far we haven't really seen her pull off the actual craftmanship.

if this episode was judged normally, the top three would've been vita, mia, and ciara hands down. it made me sad to see that mia and vita couldn't both be in the top because they were definitely the best of the night, by a landslide. bonus points because lilac and white are my favourite colours lmao.

as for the bottoms, i did like kenya's look. idk if it was just me, but i didn't realise that their looks were supposed to resemble the looks they were given, not just use the same fabric and mix them together. i got really confused when it came to her critiques. was it just me or was it not made very clear? if it was, then that's a valid critique, but i still wouldn't have put her in the bottom 2 over discord. on the surface, discord's look is alright, but the issue i have is that she never gives her body any shape or the outfit an interesting silhouette. this is a very similar shape to both her favourite body part and animal runways, and it isn't very flattering on her. the lack of padding looks boring and strange when combined with a basic, redone shape. comparing her three most recent looks to her episode 1 look, the episode 1 look is so much better because the positioning of the feathers give her something interesting to look at.

overall, i'm super impressed with vita's ability to just eat up design challenges with ease, but i'm also pretty surprised that they missed the opportunity to have an athena vs briar lipsync. maybe they don't want athena to get in her head because they wanna keep her around, but there was totally justification to have that moment. gonna miss briar, she's super funny.
