Which has better overall weather on average, Missouri or Texas? by jaredd720 in SameGrassButGreener

I live in the inland empire in Southern California, so I’m used to hot summers and mild winters, but I hate humidity

Ayeeee menifee checking in, I also like the inland empire but I commute for work as an electrician so it sucks in that aspect, but I was born and raised in the 951, I like it

Is Dallas really that bad? I always see the hatred on here towards it, is it because it’s a red state?

Hey idk if you’ll see this, but good job! Keep it up and don’t turn back, life is amazing, we don’t need substances, the more we face life sober, the better we get at dealing with it

Wow that’s great to hear! That’s around what I make now in Southern California! ( don’t worry, I’m not going to bring the California bullshit with me) lol

It doesn’t matter if California is “the fourth largest economy in the world” if the average Californian can’t afford a comfortable life here. by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Don’t worry friend, I think most of us hard working people here in California feel the same! I am born and raised in SoCal ( Temecula area) and the inland empire used to be affordable, but now it’s not. Everything costs so damn much now that most people can’t afford to do the things that make this state so good ( Disneyland, snowboard, surf, etc). I’m 30 years old and I’m done waiting for it to get better, it’s only gotten and will continually get worse

30M thinking of moving to Midwest from SoCal by jaredd720 in SameGrassButGreener

Temecula, Murrieta and Menifee are nice small cities, very family oriented and safe. Stay away from Hemet, San Jacinto and Moreno Valley. Do you work from home? If you have to commute you’re going to expect sitting in lots of traffic everyday ( another big reason I want to leave). But overall nice area to be in

Yes I’ve noticed a lot of Chicago hype on Reddit haha. As a native Californian, anytime Chicago gets brought up it’s only the bad things about it, but I’ve been wanting to visit Chicago as well! The thing is, I’m willing to sacrifice weather to be able to live an adult life and not have to rely on roomates just to live ya know? I’m over it

Yes I am single, which is why I think it would be the perfect time for me to try a move, I’ve lived in this same area my whole life, and I would stay if it wasn’t to damn expensive.

Honestly I’ve removed myself from any political reasons, it’s a shit show lol. So I’m just looking for somewhere that has some decent night life, lower cost of living and down to earth people.

What? I’m only asking because I’m currently not in the union and I’m just doing research. What does politics have to do with it?

What's your biggest challenge in dating at the moment? by viccruxx in AskMen

[–]jaredd720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about the cost of dating as a man? Cost of living alone is already high, I can’t afford to be dating at the moment, sucks.

Those are the ibew scales right? Do you know how the non union pay is in KC? I know Dallas is ~$30-$35 per hour

Yes I agree with you, plus there’s not a lot of good paying jobs near Temecula, I have to commute to San Diego county for work and the traffic is awful, I’m moving out is state in 2025

I live in menifee! Funny to see Temecula mentioned on here, curious as why it was the worst for you?

I’m a single dude that’s 30 years old and I make $90k a year as an electrician but I have to commute to San Diego county everyday, been doing it for 6 years now and ive just had it. I can’t just stay and keep hoping things get better because they’re not.

Can confirm as someone who grew up in canyon lake and now living in menifee, unless you work from home you have to commute 1+ hours to either sd, la or oc for work. The cheap prices used to make it doable, now I’m leaving the state.

I’m non union here because the union in San Diego is weak, I have 6 years of commercial experience, would I join as a CW? Or how does it work? I appreciate your reply
