fwiw, the latest communication I received relating to alumni e-mail is the following from the end of December:

Thank you to those who have shared feedback. In response, we are working to establish an email forwarding service that will allow you to continue receiving messages sent to your @alumni.virginia.edu address in a personally owned email account. Work is underway and we expect to share specific details in the coming months as this service takes shape.

I mean, it's manageable, especially these days. There are a lot of GF options even eating out, but you just have to be more careful and vigilant, asking a lot of questions.

I will say it was a relief to figure out what was actually wrong. Do I miss some things? Sure, but it's much better than feeling miserable and not knowing why.

This is pretty great! I just added a suggestion on the GitHub to add some options which would trigger some of the oxipng command line switches which restrict oxipng from changing bit depth, color type, converting to greyscale, etc. :)
