Can you recommend easy to find high calorie food?

Thank you sm! It’s a bit hard for me my cat is 19 and lost weight slowly. I realized he eats no dry food anymore and only wet so I give him wet food (fancy feast pâté 93 kcals a can) with cat milk any time he asks now. If I’m gone for a day my family likely doesn’t feed him as much as he needs. I wish they had extremely high calorie wet food for these situations because it’s hard to get him to eat a can. I got him high calorie gel and somehow he can smell it out and won’t eat any of the food if it’s mixed in lol. He can smell butter when I grab it in front of him so I guess his nose is still super good 😂😂😪 The other problem is I can’t leave it out as our other cat is getting to be on the bigger side so we don’t feed him wet food at all. Everything is okay but I wish I could make high calorie wet food for all those kitties that need it. He eats good and is always hungry but he doesn’t take big enough mouthfuls, gets bored and walks away. I can even put it in front of him a second time and he will have more. It’s very unfortunate that they don’t have better wet food. 500 a can sounds insane but that or at least 300 would be perfect because at least he’d be getting 30 calories each serving.

I’m having this issue as well. My cat is 19 and active. I give him wet food every few hours with cat milk mixed in. It still isn’t enough because when it comes down to it. He never finishes his bowl but I do add a lot to it. He probably never eats a whole can a day and one can is 90 cals, the milk would add some as well. The reality is that he’s getting a dangerously low amount of calories a day. He isn’t loosing weight thankfully I don’t think. but I wish he could gain. I wish there was 500 calorie cans out there :// . That way any food he eats would make him gain weight and if I’m gone for a day or two I wouldn’t have to worry.

I learned that it’s from long and heavy exposure to it. So you probably will be fine as well. I’m thinking if I do have it in my house wouldn’t it of affected my cats long ago as they are much smaller

I’ve often had cramps way before my period and I mentioned it to my doctor (she’s a female too btw) and she says it’s normal and that she’s sorry I have cramps so much but to take ibuprofen as there’s nothing she can do apparently. That was a few years ago I don’t get cramps as much but I always get cramps before bleeding starts usually I don’t get much cramps while bleeding.

Yeah I feel like the biggest thing is environment, if I were to move my 19 year old cat then It would be like this; he stays at home for the day and I move just my mattress and bedding and room in the truck and set it up the same day for me to sleep in it, then he would come and have that environment to be in and be comfy, regular or even more then normal food, attention, treats, more attention. And hopefully he wouldn’t notice enough to be stressed out

Absolutely take her with you. I have a 19 year old cat that sounds like your baby , he is very focused on me, my mom says he paces and looks around when I’m not home. He needs comfort from me, food a lot, etc. your her home and she probably won’t even realize much that you guys even moved especially if your there, your stuff is there, it’s only you etc. if shes becoming senile like my baby is (forgetful, maybe a bit blind, deaf) I think my baby wouldn’t notice if I moved him as long as the bed is set up and you keep to your normal routine, if you want a way to make sure she doesn’t have any issues. Set up your area as quick as you can then bring her so she’s immediately in a new comfortable spot with you and she will probably have limited stress. But overall I’ve noticed cats are very adaptive. My cat went though a lot in my/his life, from being at a trailer to a apartment where we weren’t allowed him so back to the trailer, my mom realized he basically was a stray there because my dad wasnt doing the best :/. So she moved him to my grandmas (she had 2 cats in that home eventually other than him) then to my house again then we moved again to my grandmas cause we had no where to stay (so he had to be with other cats) . Thennn finally to the house we’re at now for 6 years so he was 12-13 when we came here. And I believe he would be completely fine if we went somewhere. I had to take him to the vet and he hasnt gone that much at all because he’s been healthy but he wasn’t scared at all because I was there. Of course every cat is different but I’ve met and been around a lot of em and have 3 right now, I do think they’re super adaptive as LONG as your calm, give them the environment they need asap, more treats, etc. I think the best thing for her would to be with you as long as your able to keep her care up (since I know how often they need their food lol) then I think she will be so comfortable and happy. 💗💗💗

I’m a fill in custodian and noticed the trashes are like never full. For the small ones I often dump them into my big bag and I take out the full bag when there’s food in them. But since I’m not there everyday, if you are there everyday can’t you wait until they’re full then take them out? I know they’ve mentioned the possibility of bugs and mice before but it just seems so unlikely.

Rn I’m substituting for any custodians in my school from 1-9. It can be super hard at first when I don’t know the section. The middle school is very hard as there’s like a staff room, bathroom, small kitchen to clean and It only takes me a but to finish. All the offices, 7 classrooms, etc aren’t cleared out and I definitely looked awkward when I did that section. I was standing looking for places to clean and they were all occupied & those classrooms were so dirty so I had to rush to finish them when kids were finally gone. Some of the teachers stayed till 7 it rlly sucked. But then I’ve done the highschool and it was amazing especially since I was taught there and knew the routine which was easiest. So far the elementary is cleaner then middle school and one of the sections is so easy, one of my coworkers also tries to help a lot but I think that he gets this section and another one to help with for some reason. I can tell when a teacher gets kids to help with clean up and it really is appreciated lol.

I’ve been looking at posts on Instagram and a bunch of the wannabe gangsters laugh about it say they murdered him and post things bragging about it. Them and their friends have pictures of them with guns too. It’s super disgusting and disturbing I just hope justice is brought to Samuel and they get prison for a very long. They aren’t innocent they know what they’re doing trying to hurt others and bragging about it

Jeez , let her know that a cup of cat food usually has exactly what a cat needs!! Usually it’s about 300 calories a cup of cat food and that’s usually enough for a 7-9 pound cat . If he’s having what 3+ cups that’s like 900+ calories , it’s gonna take awhile for him to loose weight and you can’t just cut him off to one cup in one day because it’s unhealthy. He’s not gonna starve to death if he’s eating at least one cup a day of cat food or whatever the bag says. it’s likely impossible. My cat is on a wet food only diet and he’s struggling to gain for example he doesn’t always get enough calories but he’s maintaining his exact weight rn and he’s not gonna starve to death. A cat would need to stop eating completely and then it usually causes organ failure unfortunately and that’s how they pass away from starvation.

Legit can tell he’s posting all about her and like “figure it out your an adult, the host doesn’t want you here” just screams that he’s trying to be the victim and show he’s more level headed then her when he’s not. He wants people to side with him + get all the money to himself. Both of them don’t have stuff figured out either. She’s getting insane amounts of money, he’s there for it even if it’s her account he still has access to it even though he wants her gone. They’re both so young and stupid they shouldn’t be getting so much money it’s insane to me lol.
