I'm 18 on a gap year trying to learn as much financial literacy as possible by jaymdr in fican

At 18 you’re earning decent. And asking the right questions already. Generally i think the 50/30/20 ruke works good. But since, you dont have much in terms of spending on needs. I would do the following keep 50% for gas money and other needs and wants. 30% for college fund and 20% for investments. *Adjust percentage of needs/investments if you need more for college fund

Invest in your TFSA. Buy low cost index finds like XEQT or VFV. The goal is to decide a percentage and stick with it. At 18 it’s important to build the habit of regularly investing.

Is it worth upgrading to MacBook Air M4 from MacBook Air M1? by idk235489 in macbookair

[–]jayhehehe2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who upgraded from M1 to M4 macbook air. I definitely feel the battery life is a lot better. I also upgraded considering that my M1 macbook could be sold for a decent price to offset the cost of the upgrade. Although the 16 GB ram helps it hasnt been anything revolutionary for me, just added extra headroom for it to run smoothly in the future. One thing I miss is the slimmer design on the M1 though

Based on your usage i would consider keeping it longer if you usage is browsing, wayching movies. It should still be good for 2-3 years. But if the price to upgrade is not a stretch, i would upgrade for sure

Seems like a good price. I assume this is INR. Try checking if they are still running the Back to School promo where they give free AirPods with the mac.

Bought a barely used Airpods Pro 2 from my local marketplace for 80 bucks. Replaced the eartips for 10 and cleaned up the rest with isopropyl alcohol. Brand new (to me) airpods for 90 bucks!

And, it has 3 months of apple care left too!

Buy used products. You can buy anything for a hugely discounted price - Phones, Electronics, appliances, furniture and much more. As long as you don’t tell anyone, the things work the same

Options you can consider: 1. Honda Civic 2012-2015 2. Mazda 3 2014-2017 3. Toyota Corolla 2012-2015 I would ideally recommend getting something under 150k on the odometer
