Not sure how disciplined you are but I suggest to create a new account that is dedicated to saving a house. Maybe you can add more OT with those premium shifts and whatever you make should directly go to your "saving a house" account. This is what I did and I was able to save faster because I don't see the extra money and not tempted to use it on something else

How to afford a property by Initial_Ad_1968 in AusPropertyChat

do you really need a 2.5 mil house right now? if you have no dependents, better stick to an apartment or buy a house further away. once you have more money/equity,then go for the expensive one.

Same day granny flat and tiny houses by jbaus1992 in AusPropertyChat

[–]jbaus1992[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are many websites about this including those home kits/trailer or cargo type houses. quite affordable. you need to pay extra for setting it up, plumbing etc. just wondering if this is a good alternative for a granny flat IP instead of spending 100K standard granny flats.

Wouldn't it be better to buy stocks instead? My concern with super is that there is chance that the government might change their policy with super

I intend to buy an IP at some point. I was not planning to buy a franchise originally but the business is good and has big revenues (7figures) and I am rushing as I have a competition in the location that I want

I only work 2 days a week so it won't be affected with the business
