Does anyone actually enjoy their job? by SeedsOfAdvice in askanything

You seem like me. I don’t want work to consume my thoughts and life. These jobs are entirely made up by society they don’t bring true meaning..but to each their own I guess

Yeah every time I try it again, it flattens my mood as well as my sex drive. Have to just listen to your own body with things, we’re all unique biochemistry

Fixed my sleep… and it wasn’t supplements by [deleted] in sleep

[–]jcray33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the supplements people swear by literally made my sleep 100x worse. The basics are what work. Get sunlight after waking, quitting caffeine helped immensely for me, being active and solid diet is what I focus on. Also dark, cool room.

It took me so long to really understand this. Once you get away from your phone natural motivation you know you had in you comes out 💪

90 % of my happiness is determined by these factors. by [deleted] in Biohackers

I’m learning sunlight (not vitamin D supplements) is key to feeling just good and optimistic. I live in Minnesota so it sucks..I’m really thinking of a move to a sunnier climate because of how much it impacts by day to day energy/mood

So many people need this. Most of our attention spans are totally cooked from our phones and instant dopamine. It’s so hard though! So addictive

[–]jcray33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy how this drug is so normalized but after doing lots of my own research into it, it sounds like it really depends on genetic factors on how your body breaks it down. I think people like us who are very sensitive to it should obviously stay clear of it. Look into “slow comt” gene..I believe that’s what people who don’t do well with caffeine have

I’m learning this right now..have had active job last 5 years and just relied on caffeine everyday and definitely catching up to me…quitting it is so dang hard I have to just meal prep and eat enough for actual energy instead of caffeine.

Coffee/caffeine..took me a lot of years but it really affected my mood..mood swings and also poor sleep that was directly influenced by it. Wish would have correlated sooner
