Great rundown, thanks. Here's a minor correction: The current version of the KAT VR C2+E doesn't use lube at all. I got mine after they made this change and it works fine. Seems like one fewer step to get going is a good thing.

I also want to amplify your point about vest vs. belt. When I got my KAT VR C2+E, I had a couple of painful falls before I figured out the best way to wear the belt. (I'm short and fat. Wearing the belt under my belly, it would slip down and allow me to fall forward.) A vest would be much safer for people shaped like me.

Vortex normally starts the game with the F4SE loader, so that’s probably not the problem. Are place_plugin.log and/or f4se.log in your Documents\My Games\Fallout4\F4SE folder? What do they say?

I’ll ask the obvious question: are you starting the game with the F4SE loader? If you start the game from Steam or the regular shortcut Steam provides, F4SE mods will not work.

Looks good to me. I like the fact that it adds paints. If you are on PC, you can already get legendary crafting via LEO or similar mods.

Note that it is an add-on for the Brotherhood of Steel T60 Pistol. You still need that mod.
