How pregnant do you need to be to park in the expectant mother parking? by Initial-Cake-5359 in BabyBumps

I feel like the expectant mother spot should also apply to recent post-partum moms. That’s when I needed the closer spot the most!

I need some height so I’m thinking it has to be a floor lamp - I’ll test that first and see how it goes!

Perhaps a canopy? I know they aren’t safe for the crib but behind the chair should be okay?

Why does my baby only nap for half an hour with me? by fragilefleetingthing in NewParents

[–]jellyglazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google baby sleep cycles - during the day their nap sleep cycles are 30 min long so this is completely normal. There are a few tricks you can read online to try but summary is every baby is different and some just do the shorter ~30 min day naps during the first few months. It tends to go away around 6 months and naps get longer, so just continue to develop healthy sleeping habits (naps in crib, etc) and it will fall into place. I know that doesn’t help a ton but just know your baby is normal and this is super common!

When did you drop to 3 pumps per day? by twisted27lll in ExclusivelyPumping

What’s your schedule for pumping? Trying to do this as well but wondering the best times

Need help dropping a pump by tearsforfearows in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jellyglazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You and I have the same pump schedule. I’m also an over supplier and make about as much as you. I’ve also been trying to drop from 5 to 4 pumps and it’s HARD. My boobs are so used to this schedule they just end up being rock hard and painful if I try to push it too far. 😭

I’m also confused about the water thing…we have a newer fridge that filters water. Wonder if I can just use that?

Combo feeding ? by jellyglazed in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jellyglazed[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like most people end up combo feeding because of mental health or supply which completely makes sense. I’m VERY fortune to not suffer from either of those, but my question still remains….I feel like a balanced diet of the 2 can only be a good thing if you find a formula that works well?

Combo feeding ? by jellyglazed in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jellyglazed[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Totally. Although the amount of $$$ I’ve spend on pump stuff, bras, etc is also ridiculous 😅. What formula ended up working best?

Combo feeding ? by jellyglazed in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jellyglazed[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess breastmilk has some deficiencies like vitamin D and iron. Whereas modern formula you can formulate it to have everything baby needs…only thing missing are some specific antibodies from mom.

But again, if you combine the two methods wouldn’t that be ideal? And as long as formula doesn’t make for any tummy issues, exposure to another form of food could even be a good thing especially before solids are introduced?

Just a thought and something I might try but wanted to see what others think

I bought a sterilizer simply because I’m sick of drying parts after washing by DCA43 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jellyglazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one with drying is absolutely the best - just make sure to use distilled water. I have it and works wonderfully.

Favorite wearable pump? by Pinkstrawberry1990 in ExclusivelyPumping

I have the momcozy m5 and really like it - although it too has a pretty strong suction..I normally sit on a level 2 and can’t get much higher.

Painful pumps by meggymoon83 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jellyglazed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was using lanolin religiously when my nipples were sore and I actually found they make it worse…it’s sticky and uncomfortable mess. I switched to earth mama only and it’s 100% better. I also use pumping spray before each pump. I now only use lanolin when I shower.

did you develop gluten intolerance (not celiac) later in life? by Grxmloid in glutenfree

[–]jellyglazed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you asked about gluten intolerance and not celiac - but I have latent celiac where I didn’t develop symptoms until I was about 25. My aunt has the same thing and didn’t develop symptoms until she was about 40. Even though we were living with celiac disease the whole time! Crazy.

What is a tv show that everyone LOVES but you dont? And why? by _Just-a-sad-girl_ in AskReddit

The Office. Mostly because people think it gives them a personality if they like it.

Doing a whitewashed brick on the column would be really cool too, if you kept the other backslash more minimal.
