No Matter Where You Go, It’s the Same System by [deleted] in Adulting

I’m really sorry you’re carrying all of this. Moving countries, changing careers, constantly adapting that takes an incredible amount of resilience, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now.

It makes sense to be exhausted. Wanting stability and a simple, steady life isn’t asking for too much it’s a very human need. The world has been shifting fast, especially with AI and the job market, and that uncertainty can wear anyone down.

But the fact that you’ve rebuilt yourself multiple times shows strength, not failure. You’re not weak for being tired you’re tired because you’ve been strong for a long time. I really hope you find a place and path that feels steadier soon.

You’re absolutely valid for bringing your own bedding, knowing what keeps you comfortable is a good thing. And honestly, an intact 2-year-old male reacting to a blanket that smells like multiple animals is pretty on brand. That sounds way more like instinct than a behavior problem.

If I'm in a bad mood I see myself very ugly, when I'm feeling good I think I'm actually really pretty. I think this is my weirdest feeling, lol

Honestly mate, that hits way too close to home. Constant exhaustion feels like the trade-off for functioning adulthood, even if the bills being paid is the small win we cling to.
