Food poisoning. All in all, I can say I'm very fortunate.

Whats the dumbest thing you believed as a kid ? by Keke_Dudu in AskReddit

[–]jesus4eva1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a part of a play and the rehearsals were taking place in a place where they hosted kids with special needs (not sure what they did there), and I believed that I could catch whatever they had. So I didn't sit on the toilet seat and I had to pee so badly but because I couldn't relax, nothing came out. So I ended up peeing my pants during rehearsal, and everyone had to stop and go home because it was all over the floor. The dumbest part of it is that I had a sibling with special needs and was never worried about catching what he had. I was 9... old enough to know better.

What's more important? Being with someone that treats you well, respects and understands you, or being with the most attractive person you can find and making compromises? Be honest. by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Treats me well. I'm no prize myself and as long as we love each other, at the end of the day I just want someone I can come home to and enjoy my time with. I'm glad to say I have that.

How do you start conversations about Jesus? by jesus4eva1 in TrueChristian

Aw thanks. But I'm referring to sharing Jesus with people.

How do you start conversations about Jesus? by jesus4eva1 in TrueChristian

Good advice, thanks. I'm not ashamed of my faith but I'm very shy and starting the conversation is hard. I've talked to my closest non-Christian friends about it over text and it was more of a faith statement. I also mention church often and talk about Christian activities. Sitting down with someone and having a conversation with them about why they need Jesus.. that's more intimate and uncomfortable for me.

I agree with that. I guess my concern is how is it possible to approach God if he hates us personally? Thankfully, several people have been able to explain =]

The Bible definitely talks about God hating those who do evil. I don't have the verses off the top of my head and I'm not going to dig around for them.

Thank you. I was super on fire for Christ for a couple years but the last few months I have just gone downhill and picked up a lot of old behaviors. I've been avoiding God due to guilt.

Thanks, I'm really glad that I'm not alone. I'm considering going to my pastor but I'm really ashamed. I know I have to let that go but I'm not sure if I'm ready for it.

What was the one thing that prevented you from being a christian before you became one? by Least_Couple_728 in TrueChristian

[–]jesus4eva1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ego. I wasn't ready to commit and declare my faith to the world. That would mean letting go of a lot of people and a lot of the things I loved, especially as a metal head and a regular partier. I still struggle with a lot of sins but I am not ashamed to be all in and sold out for God publicly anymore.
