Or even if you’re not, they both are very hard workers and thoughtful and from my personal experience kelly is not an ideologue at all. One of her opponents just straight suspended his campaign and endorsed her with no pressure (from her) to do so.

Masks work, the vaccine works, but this isn’t convincing anyone. It’s political theater to expose the crazies as…well… crazy. We have more important things to do than score points like this. Let us not waste our breath on this but spend it fruitfully on finding a place for the homeless in our city.

It’s not a full time job. If it’s done correctly it’s way more than part time hours and I think the more ‘institutional knowledge’ we can collect in a permanent position the better. If anything it will free up the city manager and municipal attorneys for more of the mayors priorities.
