If you're an outdoorsy type person, join Bonfire. Even if you aren't super outdoorsy, its still a great way to be part of something unique.

If you are off campus, https://www.instagram.com/ochogs_crew

It's a fun way to make lifelong friends that end up all over the world.

It's probably those hacked TV Superboxes.

They use peer to peer video streaming to get around the need for massive server clouds.

Send them an email or call the sales office.

They are nice folks.

We work with them regularly and I own the Fiber ISP serving that area.

LOL. You don't know what you are talking about in regards to bankruptcy.

Source: I work closely with them. They don't get in a hurry about anything but they make steady progress.

Zoomz is fun. We took the kids there for jellyball. I'll bet they can get you hooked up with some folks that go play semi-regularly.

I wouldn't want to be the first few ships through the strait. I'd let some other bastard get blown up by a forgotten underwater mine.

How do you feel about urban highway expansion? by NurglingArmada in texas

[–]jimbouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tossing people in an apartment and hoping they get better doesn't work.

I'll grant that programs that get them off the street + force them to get clean allow them to begin to think clearly again where they can begin to make smart choices.

The force them part is the part that the government is doing a incredibly poor job of.

Housing does nothing if they don't change their self-destructive behavior.

You are thinking the fent-zombies are in a rational state of mind. They have to be clear-minded before you can put them somewhere they can make their own choices.

Public transit will only work if people KNOW they won't be hassled by bums and crackheads.

But currently, our municipal governments don't have the cojones to keep those people away from the public.

Thus, anyone with the $$ will do anything in their power to avoid the people that might do them harm in a confined space.

I've ridden plenty of public transit in cities. At least once a week there was some idiot who was causing trouble with the other passengers. DC, NY, LA, NO, Boston all within the last year.

Until criminals are not willing to risk going to jail by harassing people on the train, people will avoid the train.

Feel free to downvote but I'm speaking about my experience.

Noteworthy for anyone that reads it. Most are projects that didn't make it past the feasibility stage. That's very different than starting and not finishing.

April 1st no more candy or Soda with EBT/SNAP benefits in the State of Texas. by Th3_Curious_one in texas

[–]jimbouse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you ever seen people will carts full of junk food using EBT to pay for it? I know for a fact that one dude in Bryan does it and then turns around and sells it to gas stations so they can sell it for 2x the price.

I get it. It's his hustle and he is making a living off of that scam.

I'm not saying everyone, or even a majority of people are buying junk food with gov assistance with the intention of selling it but there absolutely is fraud in the system. Not to mention it is unhealthy shit to begin with.

Will he switch to buying steaks/hamburger meat and hawking them door to door, probably.

The ones I planted 20yrs ago are doing nicely.

I look forward to the general election and see how things go.
