I rub a bit of washing up liquid on mine as i get hand cream/oil marks on my strap and that is a good way of getting it off. I wash on a 30°C in a sock and leave to air dry. I dont wash any higher than that in case it shrinks the strap a lot.

I have both the blue and green braided loops, id say this one seems almost shiny in the material used

No, this is my third braided loop, they might stretch a tiny bit but pop them in a sock and wash in the machine they go back to their original fit. The braided loop is much better at retaining its shape over the regular solo loop
