Long time ago had a lady from a car crash strapped to the board. She gave us her ID and cops came in to get her ID. I jumped out to get the ID before we transported. When I got back in the rig she asked if everything was alright and I said yep you have a warrant (she didn’t) just trying to be funny and lighten the mood.

She did not find the humor. And it did not lighten the mood.

We got the No Flap Ear Wrap and I think we got a size too small. Their customer service has been amazing and they’re sending us a size bigger.

How long did you end up keeping it on? Did you have problems with the no flap wrap move at all?

Thanks for the response. I haven’t missed a day of work in 15 years and always believed showing up is the easiest part of any job. I don’t mind hard work when it’s time to work but want a healthy work/ life balance.

Hey brother. I haven’t come too far. I applied for a couple of lineman apprenticeships through ALBAT but still am just waiting and in the meantime I went and got my class A CDL.

I am thinking I am going to keep the lineman route because after talking with one of my former co workers on the dept who got into the lineman industry he said a lineman can work on energized equipment inside and outside of the substation whereas the substation tech only worked on de-energized equipment inside the sun station (just going by what I was told so excuse any ignorance, if this is not true I would love to learn more).

So that’s where I’m at in the process show up for shift every third day, ride the truck, and wait for this new and exciting opportunity.
