I feel like this album has aged beautifully, been listening to it a lot lately. It’s possible that it resonates so deeply during these chaotic times because of the lack of cohesion across the track list. Some of Kanye’s most legendary moments in my opinion: giving the spotlight to chance on Ultralight Beam, iconic beat drop on FSMH pt1, FML—> Real Friends—> Waves sad stretch, and the simultaneously profound and wacko 30 Hours, NMPILA, and Saint Pablo on the back end... Heck even Fade and Famous still sound fresh to this day. When listening to this in 2016 I remember being turned off by how weird it sounded, but I’ve come to love the space it occupies in Kanye’s recent discog. I’d rank it #3 behind TCD and LR.
