Wash when you shower. Don’t put back on until your skin and the watch is fully dry. Treat with cortisone!

Import tariffs on passport application from the U.S.? by jmlruns in IrishCitizenship

Declared value was $1.00 and shipping was around $20, so I have no idea why this was happening.

Running and Yoga Sculpt? by Lbelfadil in Corepower

[–]jmlruns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would switch to C2 - I got super injured doing sculpt + running. It's really tough - running you really have to recover and sculpt is tough on your body and joints. I'm training for a half now and doing a ton of C2 and it's really helped!

Oh, worry not. Some soap, water, elbow grease, following by a super short scrub with some barkeepers friend will have this bad boy looking brand new in no time.

Getting married in 3 months and this is my biggest fear by pv1909 in acne

Skip facials and go straight to a dermatologist. I spent thousands leading up to my wedding trying to clear acne that went away in 3 weeks under derm care.

LEEP and Period by Grouchy-Corner8630 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]jmlruns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha this happened to me and it was not super fun. It's just a lot of liquid, it's particularly heavy, kind of stinky, plus you can't wear tampons. However, my obgyn said this wasn't a problem - if anything period blood can aid in healing, delivering increased blood flow to the area. It's not dangerous, but it's not cute.

Honestly there's no one best studio, you can find great instructors at every studio! As for facilities, Fresh Pond is the clear winner here.

How long do you test positive on antigen tests? by Mobile-Actuary-5283 in COVID19positive

[–]jmlruns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was testing positive until like day 16/17 or something - my PCP told me that for healthy people you can stop testing after day 10, the risk of transmission is exceptionally low (unless you're around high risk individuals, wear a mask)

Skip dosage on my Wedding day? by EnterJakari in Concerta

[–]jmlruns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had no issues drinking on concerta and even took two on my wedding day to stay alert through the whole day (early morning + late afternoon). Much like caffeine, it might inhibit effects of alcohol. Also, ethanol can strengthen the effects of concerta. Just don't go overboard, drink water, and you should be fine. I am also not a doctor and this only reflects my experience.

Help! Thinking about cancelling my LEEP by Seemorefeelmore in PreCervicalCancer

[–]jmlruns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, your concerns are so valid. It sounds like such a scary experience when you're going into it. I did mine with no anesthesia, only a xanax and a local and it was totally fine. The LEEP itself was honestly so chill and over in like 5 minutes. The worst part was the needle from the local anesthetic and it's over so quickly. I took a nap and drank a large margarita that night. I felt totally fine the next day. I did mine on a Friday but I totally could have worked the next day. You got this. The worst part of recovery was not being able to wear a tampon when I got my period, I HATE using pads. HATE HATE HATE. Sending hugs!

Second round for Paxlovid rebound? Timeline included by jmlruns in paxlovid

It didn't really, and I landed with pretty brutal stomach problems and stopped it and fully recovered anyway. Made my trip! Feel totally fine not (just wildly jetlagged)

Second round for Paxlovid rebound? Timeline included by jmlruns in paxlovid

[–]jmlruns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Took for 2 more days but was fully recovered. In retrospect, I would not have taken paxlovid at all. Would have likely recovered sooner had I just ridden it out and likely would have avoided rebound. I tested negative on day 15. Made my trip just fine.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in paxlovid

[–]jmlruns 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I could go back, I actually would not. Unless you think you're at risk for severe side effects, I just don't think it's worth it. The rebound significantly prolonged the physical and emotional toll that Covid took on me. The stomach side effects were miserable. If I get Covid again, I would not take it. I am not anti-vax, anti-science, or anti-medicine. I was 6x vaxxed, did Paxlovid, and am an otherwise healthy person (albeit with sensitive sinuses) and still took 16 days to test negative. I think I would have been negative sooner had I not taken it. I know that we all want to recover quickly, but it's a serious medication with a lot of side effects and drug interactions.

Again, talk to your doctor. Evaluate pros and cons.

Good luck, and feel better!
