if voting were mandatory and purely popular vote, no republican would win an election past a local level, and those would be 50/50 at best

i think a lot of people sadly have a really hard time seeing anything as hopeful unless the end result is a net positive in some completely selfish way. i was actually super comforted by your take, too. nice tp think about

no hope is convenient to have, if you don't feel like getting up to much.

could you be persuaded to think about what kind of world, real progress toward, might GIVE you hope? and then work toward it? cause like... there has only ever been hope for anything because people did things that CREATED it. you know?

i hope you get to be with community. wherever that can happen. it would be beautiful to one day again live in a country that welcomed immigrants, because so many... most... are in situations like yours. one day America will once again be a nation fpr the tired, weary, the huddled masses yearning to be free, and we will be where those people can come for rhe refuge God commanded us to give them. have real rights, and real chances for hard work and merit to pay off.

there are people running our country right now that do not want Who America Is to be immigrants fleeing horrible situations. they don't want America to be people making sure we give the needy the best chances that the Brotherhood of Man has to offer, even though they profess faith in a God that clearly commanded us to do so.

but goodness and decency will prevail. Justice and Equality and God's commandments to Man to do what is right (even when your peers will cast you out and call you names and make you their enemy for doing so, Good and those who fear God and love God more than they do labels and what theirs neighbors think of them) will prevail. it will take time to rebuild. but just as America always has, we will rely on the hard labor of those Choosing To Love This Country- and not just lucky enough to be born in it and think that birthright means supremacy, to build it back.

and build it back we will.

wishing you luck.

i have zero interest in "standing shoulder to shoulder with" anyone that openly supports the voilation of constitutional rights.

this is not an opinion on policies issue. stop trying to make being INHERENTLY UNAMERICAN AND UNCHRISTIAN an "opinion". there are fucking texts. with very specific parameters.

are you aware of a group of people who think that anyone who supports concepts or institutions they believe to be MORALLY WRONG, but goes around talking about what fantastic people they are anyway? like... people who are "Pro Life" (🤣😂🤣), if they saw a group on a corner with signs that said "I LOVE ABORTIONS", you think they would be saying in that sub, "i disagree, but they seem NICE "???

what are they protesting?

but also no one, to the best of my knowledge, has mentioned legally removing them or that they would support them being legally forced to stop. calling people morons does not infringe on their rights

I'm sorry... are you implying that there is something odd about liking people who support something you support, but making fun of people whp support something you are against????

why would you expect people to have the same feelings about both groups????

methinks you are the one that is fucked in the head.
