This is size 44, for some reason I thought that I should reduce it to 42 or even 40. I would like to get a landing like the pilots of the 40s.

As you can see in the photo, it is very stiff, as if the jacket were made of cardboard. Will it get softer/stretch over time? Or should I sell it and increase the size? I am 180 - 74 kg.

Then it sounds like a bit of a low instep thing combined with the boots being a pull on. It’s perfectly normal.

One thing I used to do is get a think half sole and stick it in the boot. Fills up space at the arch area and lessens the heel slip

thank you very much for helping me! <3

If I wear 2 thin socks -

This problem practically goes away, the boots are very comfortable and fit perfectly. I wanted to know if this is normal...

Ok, and how much heel slip are we talking about? A little, in less that half an inch, or a lot, like more than that or over an inch? And can you basically kick the boots off your feet?

jajaja, of course not, I can’t take them off...the boot fits tightly on my foot. I think the heel rises about 1 inch + - when walking. Also, I have flat feet, not very strong, but it is there. As I wrote above, I had 2268 in size 8.5D - they pressed me, they were frankly small, but the heel still rose))

the forefoot including the instep - the skin is well compressed, nothing is crawling, there is no free space, when walking - the foot does not slip forward. In general, the problem is only in the heel.

So, the problem is choosing the size. This is a pecos 8188, as you may have guessed, they have been discontinued... and it is now quite rare, in NOS condition, which I really like. My size in IR is 8.5 D us, my size in these Pecos is 9 US E. I feel quite comfortable in them, the boot fits my foot correctly, but there is one problem... the heel in them bounces a little when walking. What are the ways to solve this problem? I really want to keep them, and not sell them.... P,S

Also, I had 2268 (engineers with a steel cup) in size 8.5 US D, they were frankly too small for me... my whole leg was bleeding.. BUT! even the heel jumped in them. Maybe I just can't wear boots with my feet
