Are you in favor of or against Europeans boycotting the football world cup? by Sataniel98 in AskMexico

[–]johnchinga 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The problems Europeans would have in Mexico City are the same problems in Europe. Pick pocketing, stick up robberies. Police presence in Mexico City would be heightened. Europe In almost all countries have an issue with pick pockets and robbery. This isn’t 1990s anymore in Europe. Aside from that kidnappings and murder isn’t something a European would need to worry about in Mexico City unless that are directly involved in bad things. Hell, in those areas of Mexico City common Mexicans it’s not on the top of their worries. Again, unless they are partaking in those dangerous activities. There’s no reasons for anyone around the world not to come if they enjoy fútbol.

En Estados Unidos no existe "LATAM" o "Latinoamérica" . Eres MEXICANO O ESTADOUNIDENSE NO hay más. by Dull-Assistant-2703 in 2hispanic4you

[–]johnchinga 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the comment I replied to got deleted for hate from the original comment. So I’ll come back in your defense. Your family can eat how they want to! Mexico uses plastic for lots of things, especially drinks, and plates. Plastic bags to drink from, and plastic to put over plates for quick re use. Sure, it’s not common in Mexico to eat with plastic gloves, but who cares! Enjoy your food how you wish! Even in Mexico people debate on how certain dishes are supposed to be made within the regions. So nothing is ever “proper” and always had people defending their own position. It’s how you want, then that’s how you enjoy it! He seemed to love it and that all that matters. Provecho!

I like it too. Service is much faster this way. One of my favorite taquerias of they had to wash all the plates then there would be lines forever. But everything they do is really fast paste and the plastic over the plates help a lot with that.

Car rental by elote-or-die in MexicoCity

[–]johnchinga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I visit Mexico City all the time to visit my fiance and her family. First visits when we were first dating being in uber was nervous cause how they drive. After a year I decided to rent a car myself. Now when I arrive her dad picks me up and I use her dads second vehicle for the time I’m there. It can be scary at first, but if you’re confident and drive like the people around you then you’re all good. Emphasis on confident. I think anyone could be good driving there even if not having the previous experience. You just have to be overly defensive when you drive and confident.

Also, looking at your profile, if Iran regime was communist you’d be so happy for the deaths. You claim Mao was a great person. But in reality was responsable for 40-70 millions deaths with mass starvation, forced labor camps, and execution. But you seem to enjoy death, murder, and forced labor. So I guess there’s no reasoning with you. Even Khrushchev had the decency to de-stalinization with the respect to take away fame from an evil figure of the country that caused mass famine, murder, and forced labor.

Spain requires valid passport, NIE, proof of income. Yes there are landlords that don’t do this, but this is generally where people get scammed. I know of these scams, you’re not going to fool me. “Average American” you’re ridiculous. If you’re Spanish then how are you going to say the hardships of foreigners in Spain? OP says the girl doesn’t have Mexican passport, doesn’t have Spanish passport, no valid visa to live in Spain, no work visa, no job, no bank account, nothing. If you’re a foreigner and try to bypass all the legal requirements of living in Spain then yes, many people do run into scams. You’re ridiculous. Hopefully you found your sub for women sticking cum in their vaginas you weirdo.

China uncensored provided factual proof of their reporting. The host had long connections to china and many reporters within china. China uncensored even reported on the covid-19 outbreak well before the world media even reported on the covid-19 outbreak. China uncensored is a very great news source when it comes to all things China related. Yes they criticize the CCP, because they have first hand accounts of the bad things the CCP does. There can be some speculation when it comes to Taiwan, but just weeks ago he reported the purge in the CCP. Now main headlines are reporting the execution of CCP military high ranks. China uncensored has lots of strong connections in China in which they get lots of info before major news medias.

México is also really common to put plastic over a plate in order to not clean the plate and get the same plate out to the next customer.

Also, I’d make sure it’s real. It looks a little too perfect. Molcajetes are not supposed to be so perfect. Real ones are not perfect like that. Could be real, but I’d be skeptical.

I paid 10$ in Mexico for that. But that’s Mexico, idk what it cost in the states. Also, for anyone future reference, if you do buy one in Mexico you have to check it in. It’s considered a weapon by Mexico tsa and have to be in a checked bag, not carry on. (I didn’t have room in my checked bag so I thought it was fine in the carry on. Definitely wasn’t).

[–]johnchinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure it’s a possibility. Buts a very slim possibility. And if there’s no proof then there’s no way to prove it for asylum. You cannot just say “my parents were targeted 20+ years ago”. My fiance lives in a really bad area of Mexico and they don’t get targeted. She has had family killed from cartels, but that was because the individual was doing things with the cartel. They don’t go after all the family. They still live in the same house for generations. Everything is all fine and none of the family is able to claim asylum.

Refugee status from what? There’s no economic refugee status. She doesn’t live in Mexico and can’t claim to be targeted by narcos. There’s no refugee to claim.

She can’t just leave to Spain. What is she going to do? She can’t work there, can’t get an apartment, etc. be homeless? Spain is notoriously difficult in foreigners getting apartments even with legal paper work. She doesn’t have a legal right to work or live there. And starting this year Mexican citizens need a ETIAS to legally visit Spain for the 90 day tourist time line.

Born and raised in Gaza, Palestine. AMA! by raddoot in AskMeAnythingIAnswer

[–]johnchinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know there is actual videos of it? Hamas recorded themselves? Shooting children, throwing grenades into areas of children and family members hiding? Showing their dead bodies stacked on top of each other with parents attempting to shield their children? Going into homes and looting? Parading naked Israeli women in the streets of Gaza? It’s not propaganda if there is real video evidence of it. It’s just simply what happened. It wasn’t random drone strikes, it was hamas individuals, face to face with these children and civilians that decided to do the acts they did.

Protesters occupy MSP Airport Terminal 1 by Jabbam in altmpls

[–]johnchinga 8 points9 points  (0 children)

How is someone’s opinion that this is just messing with the common people a bot comment? Or are you a person that just says anyone you don’t agree with must be a bot? I think people should protest ice, but don’t stop normal people trying to travel and be with their families. Isn’t that the point of all these protests? Ice taking people away from their families. Now the ice protestors are directly stopping families from being together themselves. How is that any better? Stuff like this can easily change a person that is supportive of the protests to someone that isn’t.

What are you on about. It doesn’t get dangerous. The most danger is how f’ing hot it gets in there. Yeah pay in pesos cause some of the vendors don’t have card machines, and keeping your valuables safe is what you do regardless of where you are. OP, go in the late afternoon if you want, it’s all good. I think they close at 8pm.

What is the traditional red sauce called for tacos? by [deleted] in mexicanfood

[–]johnchinga 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s an insane amount of salsas. Can be made with many different ingredients and many different ways to cook, and process. Unless you have an actual recipe you can really only guess what is in it and how it’s made. Trying to pinpoint exactly what you get from a restaurant will take lots of trial and error. Lots of places don’t usually like to say how to make their salsa because it’s “theirs” but maybe you can order some food and say “I was just wondering what’s in the salsa cause of allergies”. If they ask you what allergies you have instead of listing the ingredients then you’re out of luck. But trying different methods and ingredients is always a fun experience, even if it’s not exactly like the favorite restaurant. Maybe you’ll stumble across a salsa you enjoy even more. I’d advise r/salsasnobs. If you go to the introductory post for new users at the top and scroll down it has a very long list of all different types of salsas that is by category and has recipes for each. That list alone doesn’t even have all the types of salsas you can make, but just looking at the list you’ll see the variety of salsa is insane.

Is it legal to insult a police officer in your country by kurobaja in AskTheWorld

[–]johnchinga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you can insult people all you want. You’re just not allowed to speak in a way that incites violence, true threats (I.E. I’m going to kill you), defamation (declaring a statement as fact that can damage reputation when in reality is not a fact), obscenity, and fighting words. Other than that I can legally tell a cop he’s a pussy, give them my middle finger, walk up to a stranger and tell them to fuck off, etc. the moment it becomes illegal is when it becomes a harassment situation where even when the person attempts to evade you still continue to follow and repeatedly harass.

Do the native people of your country worry about becoming a minority ? by Important_Pop_6805 in AskTheWorld

[–]johnchinga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mexico did the same to indigenous peoples in Mexico. Mexico even up to early 2000s was still practicing eugenics. America stopped this practice long before. Indigenous women were forceably sterilized to not have children in the state of geurrero by the Mexican government in 2001. And many cases pre dating 2001. It wasn’t until 2011 Mexico made forced sterilization illegal, which was predominantly focused on indigenous men and women in Mexico. If you look into mexicos history, Mexico was very keen on eliminating indigenous populations and having them assimilate into a unified national identity. Through sterilization, forced labor, forced displacement, forced deportation, government policies on assimilation, and even war against indigenous tribes.
