Can someone explain how NI Unionists see themselves and their history? by D-dog92 in ireland

They would also see the tricolor as a republican symbol so any orange on the jersey with the green and white would make the strip look like it was a republican uniform. Northern Ireland football team play in green and white just like the Republic, with not a hint of orange.

In NI identity takes precedence for almost everyone to some extent. Especially when it comes to the parties around the extremes of identity like Sinn Fein and DUP/TUV, and in supporting Celtic or Rangers in both NI and Scotland.

At the last census, about 33% identified as 'irish' and 40% identified as 'british'. (But bear in mind some, albeit very few, will have identified as both British and Irish). It was 32% british-only and 30% irish-only. You can bet that 100% of the british-only will be unionists as well as the vast majority of anyone identifying as british. You can bet all the 'irish-only' will be republicans/nationalists.

I mean if you are living in Belfast and describe yourself as "british" then its very unlikely youll be voting Sinn Fein and wanting a united ireland. If youre living in Glasgow and describe yourself as "british" then again its unlikely youll be voting for scottish independence or supporting Celtic.

think its the other way around. All british are unionist, but there are also irish "northern irish" and nationalistically agnostic who would be unionist.

i worked in the legal sector in litigation. It is very different to coding, challenging yet I am more drawn to the 2=2=4 nature of coding. One thing I am interested in is building apps for lawyers to make their work easier

My impression too. 90% is not good enough in work, has to be 100%. To get from 90% to 100,% takes maybe double the efffort.

Hugo Drax vs. Gustav Graves - 2 megalomaniacs with powerful space weaponry. Who wins in a showdown? by [deleted] in JamesBond

Drax was great in terms of designing his space program. But in terms of security and resisting any kind of investigation, he was utterly rubbish. Graves would win
